Position interviewed for: Junior Accountant
The boss insists on hiring one more person because they want to go public, while the interviewer (the senior accountant) thinks she can handle it. They do not really agree, but are required to recruit, so they end up driving all the new hires away in order to retain sole control.
They want to hire someone who can identify and solve problems, which should not be a junior accountant but rather someone at the level of a chief accountant or above. Yet they are only willing to offer assistant-level compensation of 30–35K. In accounting, people with that kind of ability can easily command at least 40–60K, or even over 80K, elsewhere. No wonder eight people left within two months. Those eight were the normal ones, okay? A company that wastes people's time interviewing.

A company ruined by a group of incompetent leaders:
1. Founder: Still living in the dream of her accomplishments from 30 years ago—selfish, evasive, extremely stingy, appointing incompetent cronies, and rapidly turning the company into a family business. She thinks her own technology is the most professional, but pretends not to see customers’ needs and pretends not to hear the company’s problems. Customers keep leaving.
On January 5 and April 5, 2024, the monthly salaries of Taiwan employees were paid 3–4 days late. The company had to wait for emergency funds from mainland China to be remitted back to Taiwan before it had money to pay salaries. Both times, however, employees were deceived with the claim that the bank’s system had malfunctioned. What a terrible excuse—no one believed it. Everyone had long known that the company was nearly out of money.
For the year-end bonus in February, each Taiwan employee received only NT$5,000 to less than NT$10,000. The founder even shamelessly said, “Actually, the Labor Standards Act does not stipulate that employers must give employees a year-end bonus.” She can actually say such garbage—just how shameless is she!
She also often uses religious beliefs to morally blackmail employees. She claims to be devout, but in reality she does things in legal gray areas, skirting the law. Under the guise of religious devotion, she commits despicable and dirty acts, showing a severe lack of consistency between appearance and reality. Her mind is also getting muddled; she lives in the past all day and refuses (or dares not) accept the market mainstream. At 75, she still wants to work on the front line. It is truly pathetic: there is no successor, and customers no longer care about “this business-incompetent old stubborn woman.” Competitors in the outside market speak very badly of her, yet they remain unaware and refuse to reflect. Two selfish senior female employees around her constantly flatter her, allowing them to survive in the office and enjoy an easy life.
2. Incompetent general manager who spouts nonsense and empty promises: A person from Yilan, whom colleagues privately call the “Bread King” because he is like a baker in a shop who spends all day drawing big pies. He draws pies for the younger employees to listen to, and everyone has long since heard enough to suffer acid reflux and weakened ear nerves.
He is a completely talentless parachuted executive, knowing nothing about technical training, marketing exhibitions, financial accounting, factory manufacturing and production, sales, or the market…. This old incompetent relies on nothing but his mouth. For 30 years he has deceived people everywhere—deceiving, deceiving, and deceiving until he climbed to a high position. From time to time he flatters the founder, afraid that the position he obtained by kneeling and licking boots could be lost at any moment.
A man with no real ability at all, calling himself general manager, yet in more than three years he has not known a single domestic customer, nor has he ever spoken face-to-face with a doctor, because he is afraid—there is nothing substantial in his stomach! He has also never gone to the front line to visit customers, not even once in more than three years. He has not even had a single phone conversation with a domestic customer. He has never drafted a single contract for a Taiwan customer. What a hollow vegetable of an incompetent! How does this scrap have the nerve to be general manager?
He has never written a single lens prescription order himself either, because if he made a mistake, he would be laughed at terribly. “So the general manager doesn’t know how to write a prescription order?” What a ridiculous, boastful old incompetent!
Not a single competitor in the market knows this useless general manager, and he himself dares not go to the front line to develop the market and hear customers’ genuine feedback. He has no expertise, nothing meaningful to say, does not understand the medical industry at all, and is even more afraid to speak directly with doctors—what a coward.
All day in the office he boasts about how extensive his connections are: how familiar he is with Sichuan and the Northeast, and how he has local backing; how he used to run a travel agency; how he was a legislative aide and therefore knows many politicians; how he was the top pharmaceutical sales performer in Taiwan; how, if he wanted to enter politics, become a lawyer, or join organized crime, he could easily master it … and other such useless nonsense and lies.
He has been boasting about this for more than three years. In the end, all the relationships and experience he claimed were fake and never proved useful. Every employee had long ago seen through his poor performance and empty promises!
At the time, every distributor in the various provinces of mainland China had “called the company on their own” to ask whether there was an opportunity to cooperate. After the deals were concluded, the garbage “Bread King” spent all day claiming at the company that all of these mainland Chinese distributors were customers he had developed himself. I have truly never seen anyone so shameless.
3. Head of the Technical Department: A key member of the clique that came up from southern Taiwan. The fools and incompetents who could not pass the optometrist school entrance exam are all his minions, and they band together to harm this company.
Simple-minded, selfish, lazy, incapable of doing business, extremely poor at clerical and administrative work, incredibly stupid, loafing, impossible to find, slick-tongued, shirking work, with extremely low EQ and a very high error rate, wanting only to eat, drink, play, and have fun… These are the common characteristics of that group of incompetents.
Any employee who has worked with the head of the Technical Department has invariably been exploited badly by him, and eventually they all distanced themselves from him. He cannot even make product PPTs, and his lectures from the stage are a complete mess. Every young person under his Technical Department is far more capable and intelligent than he is. Therefore, everyone privately looks down on the head of the Technical Department and spends all day waiting for him to make a fool of himself and embarrass himself again in the work group. He can be called the company’s stupidest manager! But because he has the founder as his backer, no matter how inept or absurd his behavior is, the founder will protect this technical deadweight.
4. Factory director: This is the worst, stupidest, laziest, most cowardly, and most inept factory director you could ever meet! His office habits are terrible, and he is also like a pathetic sissy. Anyone working with him suffers tremendously. He is an enormous incompetent: when factory employees say ten sentences, he can probably understand only three, and after more than six months at the company, he still cannot understand the professional terminology essential to the job. He is out of touch all day and shirks responsibility. Everyone under him hates him. Pathetic. So how can such a terrible incompetent be factory director? Because the old incompetent general manager above him wants to cultivate his own people and strongly supports this little incompetent factory director, constantly telling other departments in the company that “the factory director is very serious and outstanding.” What a joke! Two people from Yilan supporting each other and comforting themselves, but that still cannot change the fact that both of them are extremely incompetent.
5. The mainland China subsidiary also has an executive who cheats money, taking all the money earned in Taiwan to spend in mainland China while refusing to remit the money earned in mainland China back to Taiwan, causing Taiwan salaries to be paid late and creating cash-flow problems. In mainland China they fly business class every day for business trips, stay in five-star hotels, and expense their nightly drinking and social engagements. Then this executive, the useless chief financial officer, decided to give each person in the Sales and Technical departments an NT$5,000 year-end bonus. This is the true face and double standard of this shameless group.
Conclusion: Under the brilliant leadership of these five pieces of garbage and incompetents, this company’s future looks bright! Choices are often more important than effort. A bad choice can torment you and waste six months to ten years of your life. The Bread King general manager has constantly boasted that he wants to make the company number one in Taiwan. Well, he has succeeded—the employee turnover rate is number one in Taiwan on 104.
I advise physically strong young people from families that do not lack money, who want to learn how to boast and flatter, that if they are not afraid of dying, they should all submit résumés! (Anyway, they are constantly recruiting new employees on job websites to “bring them in and brainwash them.”) R.I.P.
Can't think of any.
This company and "鷹視有限公司" have the same owner, and the internal problems are exactly the same.
Senior management likes to keep using malicious people so they can play the good cop. Even though most of the company's employees have already retired and most colleagues are young newcomers, the company's toxic atmosphere still has not improved at all, creating a vicious cycle.
There is a strong tendency toward factional infighting. Senior colleagues and supervisors are selfish and frightening, verbally abusive, and habitually insult and humiliate others. When things go wrong at work, they refuse to admit responsibility and like to shift the blame.
The owner has an inflated sense of self-importance and does not value employees' expertise, wanting only to exploit them. The company is full of relatives and cronies. If you do not want to suffer unfair treatment for no reason, think very carefully before joining this company.
Leaving work on time
Ordinary, disgusting male colleagues, plus chauvinistic executives who only criticize victims behind their backs
The salary is paid on time every month.
Senior employees who displease the boss are dismissed regardless of their dedication and hard work, even after working for more than 20 years. There is no job security. Other employees who have worked for more than 10 years and obey the boss have no problems.
The senior assistant is the de facto boss. People who are on good terms with her get along very well; they can use their phones or play games at work without consequences. If you choose the wrong side, things are much more difficult. Even if you do a good job, you may still be dismissed.
The boss is religious and will force employees to be baptized. If you do not meet the boss’s expectations, work may become difficult, and you may often be given a hard time. In the end, no matter how much or how well you do your work, you may still be dismissed.
An employee who had worked there for more than 20 years stayed
A company that strictly complies with labor laws
Senior colleagues are very selfish, and shirking responsibility is commonplace. At work, they only focus on what they themselves need to do and rarely consider the company’s overall interests. Whenever they make a mistake, they absolutely refuse to admit it. If something is not their responsibility, they will not get involved at all. People who take their responsibilities too seriously are not suited to working here.
The boss is highly self-important and believes that every employee should be obedient. Even though meetings are held every week, they are merely a formality, and ultimately the boss’s word prevails. Ability is completely unimportant in this company; what matters is knowing how to flatter the boss, because if you do not win the boss’s favor, she will do everything she can to get rid of you.
Unscheduled pastor-led hymn activities are held. They seem intended to let everyone experience God’s love, but in reality they are only meant to create the illusion that employees are being cared for. The boss has no empathy for employees at all and may even mock you in every possible way or force colleagues to be baptized.
Please think carefully before accepting a position at this company.
The younger colleagues get along well with one another
There are too many old-timers, and they are overly scheming. Most of them shirk responsibility, because if a decision made by the boss leads to a bad result, he blames everyone around him. You can gain recognition with sweet talk; people who act differently in public and behind others’ backs are the ones most likely to be appreciated. Work ability is not important here—the ability to flatter and curry favor with the boss is what matters most.
The salary is not high, but he will privately tell you that your salary is very high and that he values you highly. In reality, he only listens to what his favored protégés say behind your back. He is extremely opinionated and self-conscious. Meetings are merely a formality; he has actually already decided what to do and will not change his mind.
If you don’t believe me, you’re welcome to come and see for yourself. They probably often have openings.
