No overtime is required.
1. This is a rhinestone processing factory!!

This is a rhinestone processing factory!!
It is not a place for design, so they should not emphasize looking for creative people who can do design. If they are doing contract manufacturing for clothing brands, why is design needed? It is just a rhinestone-setting job. As for the in-house brand, the boss claims to be a designer himself and will not credit you as the designer, so you are still working for someone else’s benefit.
2. When the outcome at work does not meet expectations, the boss indiscriminately tells employees to “report back to him with any reason.” After you report to him, he immediately assumes that you are making excuses. Even when he himself has made a mistake, he will absolutely refuse to admit it because of his pride. His catchphrases are “If you can’t give birth, you blame the neighbor too” (Taiwanese) and “Sigh… different people are raised on the same rice!”
3. There was once a dispute in which, as an employee, I was threatened by the boss in an authoritarian tone. I had no choice but to use the Labor Standards Act to communicate with him, hoping he would face the issue. The boss replied, “Don’t talk to me about the Labor Standards Act. I hate that you all use the Labor Standards Act to make your case. Not everything has to follow the Labor Standards Act; the company has its own rules!”
That’s all.
If you are changing careers, a recent university graduate, or an intern looking for an internship, you are welcome to give it a try. It is a company where the difficulty is not too high, though I cannot guarantee anything else.
If you also work in design and hope to showcase your talents, please do not jeopardize your future. Alternatively, you can try to change them; on behalf of all workers in Taiwan, I thank you for your efforts.
Wishing everyone a pleasant job search. I hope this helps those who are meant to find it.
Basically, there is very little overtime.
You may be blinded by the sparkle of the fully stocked rhinestones.
Only the front-of-house retail store has beautiful décor.
*Unexplained salary deductions are not proactively disclosed.
When you raise the issue, they first say they entered it incorrectly and forgot; the second time, they say the boss thinks you are not dedicated enough. There are no objective performance evaluation standards.
*Taking a half-day off results in a full day’s pay being deducted.
*The office is filled with cigarette smoke from time to time; smokers can join in.
*Overtime work starts at 6:15 p.m., but pay is calculated starting at 6:30 p.m.
*In addition to design, design work includes photography, marketing, uploading, cleaning, processing, rhinestone ironing, rhinestone arranging, reception, and market research at exhibitions.
*Designers may be asked to create seasonal designs that are not for the current season, which the company stores as a design library. When new designers are hired in the future, they will be asked to modify the old designs and turn them into products for listing.
*No labor or health insurance during the first three months (they play word games and ask you to sign a contract).
*Signing contracts to circumvent the Labor Standards Act.
No overtime (although there are a few months when overtime is forced)
(Violations of the Labor Standards Act)
1. During the first three months, they use the probationary period as an excuse not to enroll you in labor and health insurance.
2. During the first three months, they use the probationary period as an excuse to retroactively deduct NT$1,000 from your salary each month.
3. The boss smokes and drinks in the restroom behind the company.
4. They make arbitrary, unwarranted deductions from your salary, and even when you raise the issue, there is no guarantee anything will be done.
(The boss is two-faced; if you have the courage, feel free to take on the challenge.)
