Pros

There are many learning opportunities.

Cons

Salaries are generally lower than the industry standard, and with positions left unfilled, one person is basically expected to do the work of three.

During the interview, they say there are bonuses, but in the end they find all kinds of excuses not to pay them.

There are surveillance cameras everywhere, both in the front and back of house, and the boss watches the monitors all day.

Under the guise of training and giving you learning opportunities, they dump tasks on you with a single sentence. They call it on-the-job training, but it is done casually and carelessly.

During my employment, my part-time hourly wage was lower than the statutory minimum wage.

Pros

Catered meals

Cons

1. The boss is very stingy and is really good at shortchanging you (seriously, I'm not kidding).

2. They constantly dump all kinds of tasks on you, including cross-functional work and things that aren't your responsibility.

3. They find all kinds of excuses to delay the originally promised raise.

4. Employee trips are to boring attractions (the kind chosen to save money and avoid admission fees).

5. The boss loves to pretend to be a nice person; every decision that makes people unhappy is supposedly someone else's idea (if you work for them, be prepared to take the blame).

6. The boss's own mindless decisions ultimately become the employees' fault: “So-and-so suggested it” or “So-and-so carried it out.” (Who made the decision for the employees to carry out in the first place?)

7. The boss is incompetent and lacks accountability, with zero benefits—and one of the stores has already closed.

8. During my employment, employee meals were spoiled three times (ingredients that had been sitting unsold too long or were not fresh).

9. Staffing is always kept at the bare minimum. At most, one part-timer is added during peak season, while during the off-season they make things difficult for part-timers or full-time employees (for example, claiming the cleaning was not thorough) and try every possible way to make you unhappy enough to resign.

10. Don't assume that applying for an office position means you'll be left alone. To save money on part-timers, the boss will ask office staff to help out on the floor too—呵呵.
