Cons

This is the worst company I have ever worked for.

The boss is stingy, has poor emotional intelligence, and does not know how to manage, shifting all the blame onto employees.

They change policies arbitrarily, only making demands of employees without considering whether they are reasonable.

They develop using a framework they modified themselves.

Its security, SEO, features, and so on are all inferior to those of others.

They also refuse to update versions, and do not push updates to customers even when there are vulnerabilities.

All they do is ask customers to sign maintenance contracts every year.

Even overseas employee trips require employees to pay out of pocket.

Those who do not go still have to work and are not allowed to take the day off.

When a typhoon comes, it somehow becomes acceptable for the company to work from home.

When the weather is good, it becomes necessary to come to the office.

If you work for the company for free after hours or on holidays, you will even be praised~

Both bosses are extreme egoists.

Joining this company was the most regrettable decision of my life.

The salary is not even that high.

Learn anything? That does not exist~

The boss only talks about how difficult this or that is,

how much money they have lost, and so on,

and then writes a bunch of online articles specifically for psychological manipulation,

trying to make the boss look professional, capable, and devoted to running the company.

Things like “the company values employees’ continuing education” (in reality, the boss attends classes personally and gets a useless certificate),

“how much it costs to develop a website” (then why not calculate the quality of the finished product?),

“the disadvantages of developing with other frameworks,” and so on (it is obvious at a glance that the writer is an outsider),

“the company offers overseas employee trips every year” (you have to pay your own share, and those who do not go still have to work).

If they discover that they dislike certain policies, they will immediately change their wording~and conveniently revise what is written on 104.

It used to say: ◆Guaranteed minimum annual salary: 14 months

Now it says: ◆Guaranteed minimum annual salary: 14 months (including year-end bonus; normal performance; prorated for less than one year, and subject to company assessment for less than six months)

It is simply meant to leave room for the bosses to make adjustments.

It also says “Raises are easy to obtain,” but does not state the percentage of the raise~

Everything at the company is driven by speed and making money.

It does not care about employees’ conditions, reasonable working hours, the quality of clients’ websites, or information security issues.

My condolences to the employees who have worked at this company and to its customers.

Pros

1. You can ask colleagues about work-related questions, and they are all happy to share (but don't take up too much of their time—the boss cares a great deal about work efficiency).

2. Regardless of whether your position is art, front-end, back-end, or PM, as long as you can endure hardship, you can learn a lot here. It's a good place to get up to speed early on.

3. If you're a woman, the boss will give you extra help and often come over to chat with you. Men, toughen up.

4. On the programming side, there is already a fixed e-commerce template. Once you get familiar with it, modifications can be made much more quickly.

Cons

1. The boss likes to make grand promises. The bonuses and raises sound wonderful, but in reality, well... unless you're confident that your team can meet those unrealistic standards.

2. PMs have a tremendous number of responsibilities:

Wireframe production: After creating them, relay them to the art designers and the front- and back-end teams.

Client requirements integration: Understand the client's functional requirements, confirm feasibility with engineers, and organize and plan progress reports for management.

Feature acceptance testing: Once the front- and back-end integration is complete, the PM is responsible for accepting all features.

Client management: Deal with clients' complaints, yelling, arguments, and communication gaps.

Team management (team leader): Control and supervise the progress of each role on the team and prepare reports. However, you may also be a PM, artist, and front- and back-end developer, giving you the experience of wearing many hats.

After-sales management: Resolve all issues during the maintenance period (websites, program bugs, servers, advertising, and new requirements).

3. The turnover rate is extremely high: on average, two people leave each month. But this is a small startup (around 15–25 people), so the colleagues who join at the same time as you—or your coworkers—may well be gone within a few months.

4. There are two bosses, allowing you to experience two ways of implementing one problem, two calculation standards for the same thing, and two different explanations. Company rules can be changed at will and implemented as soon as the following month.

5. Salary reviews and raises happen once a year. Unless your contribution is very high, you'll only receive a small adjustment.

6. It's a small project-based contracting company, and the pace is so fast that you may not be able to keep up. It's normal for each person to have 3–5 projects at once—in other words, you're expected to arrange and handle multiple projects simultaneously, but you don't get paid more for it!

7. The office is small, so enjoy the feeling of being monitored. The restroom is old and cramped. If you want to slack off, keep your eyes open; if you're caught, you'll be lectured and criticized on the spot.

8. The boss is poor at management, evades important issues, has low emotional intelligence, and doesn't know how to reflect. If you want to stay for a long time, avoid any direct confrontation with the boss.

9. The boss in charge of business development is poor at managing people, so you'll have to fend for yourself. If you're a salesperson with no prior experience, this place is very unsuitable for you. Moreover, the company's business development is weak, and the people who get criticized will only be the sales staff below him—because he's the boss!

10. Employees are not respected: declining performance -> management failure -> excessively high costs -> immediate layoffs! If you don't want to be the one affected, bring your absolute best effort. The boss's philosophy is not about developing people, but about efficiency and return on investment: low performers are decisively fired; as long as they can find someone else, that's enough.

11. Back-end developers handle everything under the sun: websites, servers, advertising, other people's bugs, social media setup, general office errands, and more.

Summary: In terms of learning opportunities in each role, PM and back-end offer the most to learn but are also the most painful (back-end work covers a broad range but is relatively shallow). For business development, enter only if you have experience. There is limited to learn on the front end. Every role requires you to accept 3 highs and 2 lows (high pressure, a fast pace, a heavy workload, low salary increases, and low bonuses).

Pros

Interview for a PHP Engineer position. First, take a basic skills test, then proceed directly to an interview with the CEO, mainly discussing your experience and technical expertise.

The work environment closely matches the CEO’s ideal concept and is very much in line with expectations.
