Read the community guidelinesThe salary is generous, and the administrative position also comes with performance-based bonuses.
The overseas HR representative first contacts you on LINE to arrange a phone interview.
The phone interview mainly involves introducing the company and asking whether you would be opposed to working in the online gaming industry.
The second round is an on-site interview, and the office environment is very quiet.
(It is supposedly a young entertainment software industry... yet there is absolutely no cheerful atmosphere.)
Most of the questions are based on your résumé.
They ask whether someone will provide guidance or demonstrate the procedures after you join.
The interviewing manager repeatedly emphasizes how busy they are.
They seem unwilling even to take new employees through the procedures once.
The atmosphere among the company’s employees is lifeless.
Flexible working hours, you can play cards, sometimes work is fun, lots of people, two floors
The company’s systems are inadequate. During interviews, HR paints everyone a rosy picture. They suck up to superiors and are unprofessional. The department heads are really something. After joining the company, there is no senior employee to guide or look after you—you are simply left to flounder on your own. If they like you, you can slack off; if they don’t, they just put you aside. How interesting. A word of advice to those who like to suck up to superiors before joining: best of luck with everything~
High salary, good benefits, long lunch break, and shorter overall working hours than usual.
The colleagues are all young, and the work atmosphere is relaxed; everyone jokes around.
High pressure and long working hours. You may need to make time after work and on holidays to respond to customer messages and phone calls;
otherwise, it may result in losing customers.
High salary, good benefits
The average age of colleagues is young, and the workplace is full of energy
Those who enjoy a good working atmosphere are welcome to give it a try
High pressure and long working hours
You also need to respond to customer messages while on leave
A two-hour lunch break (12:30–14:30)
You can leave work on time
Because the company is located across two floors, interaction between different teams is virtually nonexistent.
If you are applying for a sales position, it is best to negotiate for a higher base salary (80,000), since bonuses are almost impossible to receive.
The company’s top boss is in China, so everything depends on the leadership on the Taiwan side. If you are willing to do as they say, things will be easier. People who dislike flattering others should preferably not come here to work in sales, because the performance pressure is extremely high.
None
HR is extremely unprofessional.
They send an email but don't even call to confirm with the interviewee.
The main point is, I haven't even received an email.
What gives them the confidence to communicate with an interviewee telepathically without confirming anything?
The phone call clearly said to schedule it in the afternoon, but the appointment was still arranged for the morning.
They still didn't call to confirm. What kind of professionalism is this????
Having no experience in the gaming industry is a minor issue.
But they don't even have a basic company website, and they still have the nerve to send someone out as their front?
Two-hour lunch break
Fuck you, the position on 104 was advertised as paying so well, with every one supposedly easily making over 100,000, but in the end they didn't dare guarantee the salary at all. They just claimed that everyone averaged that amount. Fucking wasted my time going to the interview. HR from the humanities background really likes using fancy talk; when you question them about it, they even get mad at you. Fucking hell, they made overseas travel sound so great, but the salary couldn't possibly be that high. They just write a bunch of bullshit on 104.
The company location is clean and attractive, with a two-hour lunch break.
The sales pitch used by HR during recruitment is highly questionable. They entice you to join by citing the base salary and “average” bonus, but in reality, the bonus figures are something you hear about but never receive. In the end, they may even say that you misunderstood, rather than admitting that HR “misled” you. The company’s integrity is highly questionable.
For those considering interviewing here, I suggest stating your expected figure directly as the base salary. Don’t be misled into thinking that a satisfactory compensation figure consists of the base salary plus bonuses.
