Pros

Leaving work on time

Cons

I. Policies

Labor insurance is usually not enrolled on your first day of employment. It depends on the company’s mood and when they decide to send out the insurance information. Not only will late enrollment be overlooked, but you may also be charged for the entire month’s labor insurance premium. If you don’t check your enrollment records yourself, you may be taken advantage of without even knowing it. The key point is that when you raise this issue with the company, they may still treat it as a minor matter.

II. Work

(1) Responsibilities are not clearly divided, so other people’s tasks may also become yours. Some colleagues are not good at detail-oriented work; if you are detail-oriented, their work will become yours simply because the company thinks you are more careful.

(2) Work processes are made unnecessarily complicated. Something that could clearly be completed directly and only requires two people to handle is forced to involve a third person, turning the process into a triangle in which information is passed back and forth.

(3) Every meeting is about the same things. The content of a meeting may be almost the same as it was a month earlier and a month later. Each meeting lasts 1–1.5 hours. If you feel that being paid by the company to attend meetings is a good thing, then this might not be so bad.

(4) The same questions and issues will be repeatedly asked of you. Even if your daily work reports record your work status in detail, they will still ask you the same things repeatedly, and may even read your messages without properly responding.

(5) At first, you apply for an administrative position. Once you become familiar with the work, you will be asked to do business development, but the business commission they offer is... (Curious people can come and experience it for themselves.)

III. Work environment

(1) If you are not very sensitive to cleanliness and can accept an environment full of dust, lots of tiny fruit flies, and urine splashed on the toilet seat, you may be very well suited to this environment.

(2) The hardware and software are outdated. For example, the computer and telephone receiver are very quiet—so quiet that you may wonder whether your hearing is poor. The water dispenser filter is not replaced, yet they will tell you that it has been replaced. Even after reporting that the plastic inside the water dispenser has deteriorated and that the water has a plastic and strange taste, they will still tell you, “There’s no taste,” and that the water from the dispenser is safe to drink.

Pros

Punctual working hours—once work is over, you have time to go to Digital Bank to look for new horses to ride.

Cons

Regarding what is discussed in the interview, just take it with a grain of salt. If possible, it’s best not to come. If you do join, please be mentally prepared and take note of the following:

1. Trust your instincts. Once you feel that something is wrong, leave. Don’t go astray.

2. New hires will suffer. There are gaps in the business, and you’ll have to teach yourself. There is no internal training channel, and you’ll be a one-person department with no one to turn to.

3. The boss really likes to show concern for new hires. After you clock out, they will keep you for 10–20 minutes to talk, for one or two weeks straight.

4. There is a gap between the interview content and the actual job duties, and you will also be asked to create value—you’ll be expected to take ownership, okay?

5. You need to be extremely patient because the boss loves holding meetings. They often arrange one-on-one meetings, sometimes even at the convenience store downstairs. Try to keep your distance during meetings; if you can’t take it, leave.

6. You need to learn alternative ways to communicate. The boss is stubborn, difficult to communicate with, and illogical. You may feel that you are smarter than them. If you think that way, it means you’re a normal person—don’t worry.

7. Learn to let things go in one ear and out the other. Please don’t take what they say too seriously, because they will say the same thing next time anyway. You’ll keep going around in circles for the entire month.

8. Please be sure to show compassion for an elderly person with poor memory. They will answer irrelevantly regarding the work table you prepared, forget about it after a few days, and ask you again. They will also forget during conversations. In short… getting angry won’t hurt them, so you might as well pity them.

9. Learn to cultivate your patience. The boss loves making things difficult for employees. When you try to assert your rights, they will evade the issue or brush it off. In short, if you can’t outplay them, just cultivate your patience.

10. You need to be as drought-resistant as a cactus because the company’s water dispenser is old, and its deteriorated plastic gives the water a strange taste. The boss doesn’t want to buy a new one. It is recommended that you find your own water source; otherwise, in the long run, you may die of thirst and get a urinary tract infection.

11. I hope you aren’t experiencing financial difficulties. When business contracts, your salary will come home seven days late, or it will be paid in installments—without any interest, of course.

12. After joining, please diligently keep track of the status of your labor and health insurance.

Pros

Easy to get hired after the interview, little overtime, and easy to take leave

Cons

No holiday bonuses and no bonuses. The probation period is indefinitely long, which means there is no opportunity for a salary increase, and there are no holiday bonuses either. However, during the interview they say there are profit-sharing payments and bonuses (but you never receive them). The reason given is that you did not make big money for the company (even back-office staff are expected to shoulder performance targets, although this is not mentioned during the interview). If you request a salary increase, they will make things difficult in every possible way and expect you to understand what “accountability” means.

Here is another important point: after employees of Quanren Cultural and Creative start work, the boss will not immediately enroll them in Labor Insurance and National Health Insurance—or may not enroll them for the full amount. It depends on your luck and which one you end up with.

The company has a water dispenser, but they never replace the filter. The boss boils separate hot water to make coffee. Unless the weather is hot enough, they try not to turn on the air conditioning, for energy conservation, environmental protection, and love of the Earth……….

I will not go into the other unreasonable matters. After all, small companies naturally have many miscellaneous tasks, and job seekers should already understand this. The boss is very good at painting a rosy picture and bluffing, so do not take it too seriously. But you really, really need to pay attention to Labor Insurance and National Health Insurance. It is already a low-paying job with no possibility of a salary increase—do not also let them cheat you out of your insurance premiums.
