Pros

Setting aside the few people mentioned privately, the other colleagues are quite easy to get along with, but everyone is suffering.

Cons

A former employee who left several years ago happened to come across the following review. It seems that the boss’s habitual way of doing things has remained basically exactly the same over the years—I can guarantee it. This company is essentially a one-person dictatorship where you can only listen to the boss. There are basically two types of colleagues: veterans and newcomers. The veterans have essentially figured out the boss’s personality, which is why they have been able to stay for so long. When you think something is unreasonable, the veterans will instead advise you to back off. In particular, the boss often uses your words against these veterans—how could you not have thought of that? As a result, working this job was actually extremely painful. New employees imitating former employees before they left is also a real thing. Emails from overseas clients are basically treated as imperial edicts. For some reason, the department supervisor is constantly taking leave, and the boss says nothing. In any case, this supervisor is the unpleasant woman mentioned in another comment. She can’t do anything, and working with her is truly painful. I don’t know what the situation is like now, but I just happened to come across this. My experience working here was extremely distressing. You know something is wrong, but you don’t dare say anything, and your colleagues also tell you not to say anything. Then, when something goes wrong, the boss scolds everyone together. The department supervisor is essentially just a figurehead. It was a very complicated work experience.

Pros

The colleagues are pretty nice.

Cons

They really like holding meetings; meetings average one hour long.

Meetings involve listening to the boss boast about past accomplishments and enforcing one-way discussions.

You have to strongly agree with everything the boss says, or you will be verbally humiliated.

They like to pretend to ask for everyone's opinions, but it is only for show.

There is no overtime pay—only a meager meal allowance.

They like to use your lunch break and time after work for meetings.

The boss likes to monitor every email. Any email you draft has to be submitted to the boss for approval and rewriting.

You can only reply according to the boss's edicts.

But if a customer is dissatisfied with the response, it is your fault.

They like to gather a whole roomful of people, open an email, read it word by word, and then listen to the boss speculate about whether the customer is implying something.

When a customer emails, they gather a whole roomful of people and make you read and translate it word by word.

Even if you are in the restroom, if the boss wants to find you, they will send someone to call you out.

The boss has no intention of respecting each person's expertise.

The boss must win every argument. Even when you have done nothing wrong, they will nitpick until you admit that you did a poor job.

Management ability is extremely poor. There are no standards for how work is done; everything depends on the boss's mood.

The boss likes to speak very loudly to demonstrate authority.

They never explain things clearly and expect employees to guess.

They habitually belittle and humiliate employees.

They like to say that the company never really closes for the day, and they also like to pressure employees into working overtime on weekends.

They discriminate against pregnant women and women.

They do not hire employees who insist on following the law.

The office software is not properly licensed.

They force employees to sing and dance at the year-end banquet like clowns.

They will call you even when you are on leave.

The sales manager habitually takes long vacations. Even when at the company, they evade sales-related matters by claiming not to understand them.

They may ask you to impersonate someone who has already resigned when replying to emails.

Pros

The only advantage I can honestly think of is this: On the way to the industrial park, the bus driver was very polite and would go out of his way to stop where you wanted to get off. I love you, bus driver ❤️

--

Also, the initial inquiries through the employment website were very polite and left a good impression. Who would have known I was actually being deceived?

Cons

1. The receptionist directed me to a small office and said that I only needed to hand her my résumé after filling it out. After I handed it to the receptionist, she passed it to an older woman. The older woman looked over my résumé from top to bottom and gestured for me to wait in the office. As soon as I entered the office, I heard the receptionist and the older woman discussing the contents of my résumé. It was as if they thought the office had excellent soundproofing, but in reality I could hear every word clearly. And in fact, the actual interviewer wasn’t that older woman either 🙄

---

2. The final message from the employment website said that I would be interviewed by a certain Mr. [name], but the actual interviewer was a certain Ms. [name]......

I asked the interviewer whether there had been a change.

She replied, “No matter what, the interviewer will be someone from the company. Does it matter who conducts the interview?”

I said, “I just wanted to understand what happened.”

She said, “[Mr. X] is the manager, and I’m the supervisor of the department, so I’m conducting your interview. Is that a problem?”

Her attitude was terrible. If a job seeker were a woman and the person who showed up was a male interviewer, wouldn’t she have questions too? The least they could have done was explain, “Mr. X is unable to conduct the interview today for [some reason], so I’ll be handling it.” That would have made the impression much less negative...... If this woman were my future supervisor, I honestly would have wanted to end the interview right then and there... But I still kept my emotions in check and went through the entire interview process, out of respect for the company.

3. I felt that the interviewer didn’t know much about the position. She couldn’t clearly explain the job responsibilities, the software used, or even whether the operating system was Windows or Mac. She hesitated and mumbled, and eventually gave me a perfunctory answer: “A bit of everything.”

---

4. Regarding salary, she only asked after taking my résumé and starting to leave the room. She also wouldn’t tell me the expected salary range for the position. The interviewer only wanted to hear my answer, so why not ask directly at the beginning of the interview? 🥹
