The first time I’ve encountered a company that conducts salary negotiations in person (with a regular salary of NT$40,000 or more), requires candidates from relevant fields to have experience in plastic structures, and administers a computer-based skills test. You need to set aside two hours for the interview. If you interview at the beginning of the month, jobs that don’t require the computer-based test already pay over NT$40,000—who would still set aside two hours to interview for a job paying less than NT$40,000?
1. Take time off when you see red, and take leave when you should.
2. Extra dishes and snacks are provided every Friday.
3. There are bonuses for the three major holidays and Labor Day, but they are not substantial.
4. The atmosphere among colleagues is good.
5. If a product from the R&D or sales department receives a large order, a bonus is provided as encouragement.
6. Many matters can be discussed with department supervisors; it is an open and relatively flexible environment.
1. There is no overtime pay. Although you can leave when there is nothing to do, management may think you are too idle and keep an eye on you.
2. If you work in R&D, besides developing products, you also have to help with other tasks. There are quite a lot of miscellaneous responsibilities.
3. The workload and pressure in the R&D department are disproportionate to the salary.
4. Salary increases are not very common.
5. "國戚".
Overall, the environment is good. You receive what should be provided, but not much. It is enough to get by, but you will not starve.
1. From time to time, there is afternoon tea or snacks. Each department has a fund for occasional group meals.
2. In addition to the bonuses for the three major holidays, there are also bonuses for Labor Day and other occasions.
1. There is no overtime pay for working overtime, nor can you exchange it for compensatory leave. Overtime between 17:30 and 19:00 does not count as overtime; after 19:00, you will be notified by phone to clock in before working overtime.
2. If you happen to be a R&D employee, you do not need to know just one area—you only need to be responsible for project management, quotations, structural design, styling, electronics fundamentals, optical analysis, and customer proposals (shouldn't this be the sales department's work?).
3. Working hours end at 17:30. Sorry, but meeting times just happen to be at 17:30. This is absolutely not intentional, hehe.
