1. When I joined the company, no one mentioned overtime at all. Then one day, a meeting was inexplicably held to announce that employees would need to take turns being on duty (overtime).

2. On-duty work is paid based on “only time spent handling matters can be counted as working hours.” Even after handling matters, there are restrictions on how many hours you can report. Moreover, the compensation is time off in lieu, which must be taken and cannot be exchanged for money, so effectively there is no pay.

3. The turnover rate is extremely high. Every now and then, someone sitting near you resigns.

4. It is extremely inefficient; people spend all their time wasting time on complicated procedures and trivial matters.

5. Department dinners are held once a month and require employees to pay for themselves. Attendance is semi-compulsory.

6. There is almost no training for new employees. You have to ask about everything yourself; if you fail to ask, it is treated as your fault for being a new employee.

7. One supervisor scolds people constantly—minor scoldings every three days and major ones every five days. The supervisor’s yelling while berating people, giving instructions, and chatting echoes throughout the entire office, making it impossible to concentrate on work.

8. After one month, you have to take a test on the company’s work ethic. It consists of an A4 page of material that you must memorize and recite. If you do not memorize it well, you have to retake the test.

9. There are too many drawbacks to list. In short: enter at your own risk.
