Pros

After being there for only a short time, I really can't think of any advantages.

Cons

An obscure LED company whose information couldn't even be found through the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

There are very few employees, and to make matters worse, the atmosphere is unusually cold and indifferent. The colleagues hardly talk to one another.

The supervisor's attitude is also very strange. When hiring people, he just does it casually—either judging them according to his own standards or simply going by his mood.

When he initially recruited me, he made it sound so good, saying that everyone helped one another and that anything could be discussed.

But when something happened at home once and I had no choice but to discuss how to arrange my subsequent work with the company,

he not only showed no concern, but also spoke very harshly. Later, when we couldn't reach an agreement, he handed me a resignation form and told me to leave. I was extremely unhappy at the time, but I signed the resignation form, took the money, and left.

Thinking about it carefully, this kind of place really isn't somewhere to stay long-term. Everything is haphazard, and there isn't a properly established system.

What's laughable is that, relying on a few patents, they boast that they will capture most of the market. In reality, quite a few of the patents were obtained from mainland China, and these technologies may well have been obsolete long ago.

Some of the colleagues there haven't even graduated from university. To put it bluntly, they're just a bunch of nobodies.

If a company like this can stay in business, then I could start an even bigger one and become the second Bill Gates.

Pros

After reading these reviews, it is clear that these incompetent, opinionless people, who presumptuously interpret the boss’s intentions as if they knew what the boss was thinking, must have had me dismissed. This company is pitiful: it employs incapable people, including an R&D employee who only knows how to make samples and has no rules, regulations, organization, planning, or engineering skills, yet is made a supervisor. There is also someone doing technical engineering and production who does not understand processes, materials, quality control, optics, or equipment. Another person pretends to understand the boss’s thoughts, suppresses others, and abuses the boss’s authority, while knowing nothing about the factory’s overall production, quality assurance, or shipping systems. This person orders subordinates to do things entirely according to their own wishes, stays silent when something goes wrong, and afterward apparently does not know what soothing words to tell the boss, instead shifting the blame onto others.

The company’s product yield is under 30%, yet they are delighted, thinking they possess some profound technology or patents. In reality, they are merely utility model patents—patents that can be obtained with a small amount of money.

Here is the key point! With a yield below 30%, the products still receive customer complaints after shipment and have extremely poor reliability, yet these people (in R&D, engineering, and production) still think it has nothing to do with them. How ridiculous!

The boss still lets them continue messing things up like this—is it simply because they are obedient? In reality, they have no ability and can only work while paying lip service and acting contrary to their true intentions.

Therefore, if you want to work at this company, do not think about trying to accomplish anything, because this group of people will stop you, afraid that you will affect their positions in the company. But when something goes wrong, they whisper in the boss’s ear and make you take the blame. That is why employee turnover is so high. The atmosphere is extremely strange, making you feel uncomfortable all day; eventually, you leave on your own, allowing them to maintain their positions in the company.

I might as well name them: the ones whose names start with L, E, and Huang. A group of people with no academic qualifications or factory experience who think that staying at this company for a long time means they understand LEDs.

Cons

The company has no future. Large companies in the industry spent several years evaluating and certifying products that have no economic benefits. The company can only deceive people in mainland China to obtain some government subsidies, then leave after secretly making enough money a few years later.

Pros

When I first joined, it was a startup, so I was able to learn quite a lot. The colleagues were easy to get along with.

Cons

To be honest, I really wanted to believe in this company, but the harsh realities of society don't allow you to be naive.

After September 2018, this company had almost no orders, and quite a few of the finished products shipped previously were rejected and returned by customers.

In mid-2018, the office and sales teams were replaced with new staff, not counting those who had already been fired or had left.

The turnover rate was quite high.

After September 2018, the work was almost entirely repetitive, consisting of products with data discrepancies or specification issues from before.

There were also quite a few products whose specifications and data were completely unknown, so they had to be individually inspected.

Although experiments and improvements were carried out continuously, the procedures had not yet been properly implemented. Things at work were often changed back and forth: A said it was acceptable, while B said it was not.

In the end, even I wasn't sure which plan I was supposed to implement.

The order volume had begun to pick up again by the end of 2018, but the company ordered all employees to schedule leave.

It was only after returning from leave that we found out we had been laid off. This was really quite a move.

At the beginning of 2019, the company decided to downsize and planned to set up a factory in China. We were among the first affected. A small number of employees who were not laid off remained to handle the downsizing period and machine deliveries.

I think I had more or less seen the signs by the middle or latter half of last year, but I still believed in the company until I was laid off. Ha.

I don't know what management was really thinking, or whether the reason for the downsizing was the China–United States trade war or a failed business expansion plan. I have no idea.

Anyway, it was the expected unexpected. Everything was very inexplicable.

All right. Let's all.
