PG uses the outdated VFP technology, and currently more than 90% of the workload involves VFP. When hiring, the company initially lures people in with a high salary by suggesting that they will be able to switch to newer technologies, but later finds reasons to reduce their salary. In addition, when joining, they say that if you have worked for less than three months, and less than a full month in the current month, your salary will be calculated based on the minimum wage. After you have worked for three weeks, they then find reasons to reduce your salary, leaving you in a situation where you neither want to leave nor stay. PG has an extremely high turnover rate. Basically, only one manager stays there consistently, but the manager only knows VFP and has no understanding of current mainstream technologies. Therefore, engineers should think carefully before joining.
Interactions among colleagues are very good, there is no overtime, and the training is fairly good.
All business comes from company-assigned cases, which can easily lead to an uneven distribution of assignments. Basically, the supervisor’s personal views and preferences regarding individual employees have a significant influence on the rate at which cases are assigned. Simply put, only one or two favored employees can receive high bonuses. Starting this year, the performance calculation method was also adjusted upward, making it difficult for ordinary employees to receive good bonuses (or even any bonuses at all). This performance rating also affects the year-end bonus, because the year-end performance calculation criteria have also been increased by nearly half.
Engineers have to handle a wide variety of tasks and also serve as customer service representatives. There have also been cases where the salary agreed upon initially was reduced under a different pretext several months after the employee joined the company.
