Read the community guidelinesFirst stage: HR phone interview
Second stage: Direct manager interview
In the first-stage interview, HR made everything sound very positive, but it was really just talk. They made it sound as though you had already been hired. Thinking about it afterward, I suppose HR’s KPI is probably how many candidates they can find for managers to interview.
In the second-stage manager interview, to be honest, the manager was also very unprofessional and unfriendly, so working under a manager like that would be exhausting.
There were four interview rounds. I thought I was interviewing for some kind of senior executive position—I felt truly honored.
During the third interview, I was supposed to have a video call with a manager, but they still hadn’t shown up half an hour after the scheduled time. There was no response whether I sent a message or called. After finally managing to reach HR, I was told that the manager had something urgent to deal with. I can understand that something came up, but couldn’t they have informed the candidate in advance instead of only dealing with it after I followed up?
Still, I’m sure this manager must be very responsible to have handled things this way, right?
