Pros

Striving and fooling around with colleagues together, with a good working atmosphere. After work, we sometimes get together for late-night meals or breakfast. Although there are conflicts, they are always resolved; although there are misunderstandings, we still talk them through.

Cons

My colleagues were all very dedicated, but because of company policy, we were still laid off, which was heartbreaking. We worked diligently and made it through the busiest period, only to suffer a Waterloo over a cheaper Bali contract. It feels so unfair.

Can't think of any.

Cons

The company had already started withholding wages in 2024.

There are a ton of requirements when it comes to working.

When it comes time to pay salaries, there's no money, so everyone is asked to be understanding.

Because delayed salary payments have become routine, everyone is already used to it.

As a result, (most) employees have gone nearly half a year without being paid.

The boss only shirks responsibility and disappears.

They have absolutely no intention of dealing with it.

Sea Urchin Arts & Entertainment Co., Ltd. is also under the same person's umbrella.

It's the same old rebranding trick: once one company is ruined, they just switch to another.

Being put on the bench is fine—having two monitors makes it convenient to watch Netflix and YouTube and binge-watch shows at the same time.

Cons

It has basically collapsed now, reincarnating as “Hao-Dong Animation.”

The useless, highly paid executives from iAnimation have all transferred to Hao-Dong Animation, where they continue patting each other on the back.

Those useless people who occupy their positions without doing any work are paid extraordinarily well, while their abilities are extraordinarily poor.

Hao-Dong Animation is currently offering NT$25,250 for animation artists on 104. It’s truly laughable.

If you’re interested in Hao-Dong Animation, pay close attention: this company is simply iAnimation under a different name.

Everyone who remains there now is the cream of the crop in workplace infighting—the worst of the worst, the most useless of the useless.

They are so incompetent that they cannot compete with newly established animation companies, so they can only stay in their comfort zone, continuing to do meaningless things while pretending to be very busy.

Pros

Having any advantages is wishful thinking.

Cons

Currently, the people with the most power are the Hongkongers. The former head of the news department has already run out of things to do, yet they still have not removed him. Several people below have already started currying favor with the Hongkongers. Over the past few months, they have been assigning people who are not good at their own positions to do other post-production tasks, while still holding them to high standards. The point of contact is even slacking off and refusing to communicate. This company has long since lost its way.

Pros

Working hours are generally normal and fixed, but some project-based roles are just as grueling as those elsewhere. Salaries are paid on time, there is always a year-end bonus, and you do get all the leave you’re entitled to. Overall, this is probably the most normal company in the industry right now. Companies elsewhere are all sweatshops, which is why so many people leave for a while and then come back. Only those who joined early got unbelievably high salaries; sorry to those who joined later—we’ve already squeezed everything out of the company, so there isn’t much room left to help you get a raise. These days, we just do as little as possible and hang on as long as we can. Quality is what it is. Basically, there are too many people making decisions, so projects take forever and still can’t get resolved. Every year before the Lunar New Year, managers and people who are inexplicably unrelated to one another arrange a company year-end banquet, raising selfie sticks and toasting in celebration. It seems as though they’re mocking the employees below who work hard and actually create value, as if we were idiots: “You do the work; we reap the rewards.” Living the good life.

Cons

There may be layoffs at any time.

Pros

Only payday at the end of each month can soothe the soul.

Cons

A bunch of managers only know how to engage in internal power struggles, thinking about how to keep their jobs and curry favor with those in power, while desperately laying off the people who actually do the work below them. The whole company has been cut down to almost a two-digit headcount, yet the toxic elements are still there...

There are no standards for layoffs~ Work ability and performance aren't considered. If you want to survive, go build good relationships with people who have power. That's it.

The people at the top have an “get whatever you can” mentality; no one is genuinely thinking about the company. They engage in factional infighting, the quality of the work is poor, and then, with no projects to work on, they can only deceive themselves by making a bunch of IPs that no one looks at. There's absolutely no future anymore... It's just hanging on without having shut down yet..

I can't think of any advantages anymore.

Cons

How many more talented people does that manager intend to drive away before they're satisfied?

People aren't here to work for you for a paycheck.

We're all team members.

Recently, you've driven several more people to resign of their own accord.

Even the person everyone recognized as having a very good temper was pushed by you into resigning yesterday.

Who knows how far you humiliated them.

This is truly speechless.

Pros

Punctual working hours

Cons

Employees are treated as disposable. Frequent layoffs mean work is often handed over incompletely, resulting in utter chaos. In addition, severe infighting and unclear work direction leave employees feeling anxious and insecure. With the mindset of simply getting through each day, it is difficult to feel any sense of loyalty to the company. Overall, the company atmosphere is gloomy and dispiriting—an environment that makes people feel very unwilling and powerless to go to work.

Pros

There are no advantages left.

What should have been provided in the first place should simply be provided.

These cannot be considered advantages at all.

Cons

Even the welfare payments have been cut.

The company is probably almost shutting down too.

At most, only a few useless projects remain.

Along with that team leader who aggressively argues in the comments,

whose conduct has been privately criticized to the extreme and who is a terrible person to work with.

This kind of job will only make you more and more fed up.

Pros

You get everything you're entitled to.

Cons

Benefits are reduced every year

There was no year-end party last time

Things inside are really chaotic

Recently, there was another small round of layoffs

There's a notorious team leader with a very bad reputation who is extremely aggressive when pressuring people

Their attitude and facial expressions are also unpleasant when asking people to change things

Anyway, I've already left, so I won't run into them anymore

Everything I said is factual

Don't say I'm smearing anyone or anything

That department still has a useless manager who is practically dispensable

I think they're also just waiting for the axe to fall

Don't join this company unless you have to

Because in the future, it will only get worse, not better

Even if it improves, it won't improve by much

A fairly law-abiding company; they don't shortchange employees on what they are supposed to provide.

Cons

No year-end bonus... There is severe infighting within the company, turnover is very high, and layoffs happen at the drop of a hat.

The advantages are that you won’t be shortchanged on what you’re entitled to.

The disadvantages are:

The company is very disorganized internally.

There is severe infighting.

There are almost always layoffs each year without warning.

In particular, the chances of getting promoted or receiving a raise have been extremely low in recent years.
