Pros

The company is located in a new office building belonging to the Xindian District Office. The environment and facilities are both very good, and the interview process was quite pleasant. It felt like a well-organized company with good development potential, and since the salary was good, I decided to join the company.

Cons

For a company that has been around for more than a decade, the shared files are extremely disorganized. There is no naming system or filing logic, and files may be scattered everywhere or exist only as JPG files.

The company atmosphere is somewhat too high-pressure. Colleagues are often scolded in a very humiliating manner, which really affects their mood at work. The company has a snack cabinet, but I heard that the snacks are for when people work overtime. Overtime is routine, and no one leaves work at 18:00 on time. After 18:30, you have to fill out a form, and only after the boss approves it can you receive overtime pay. After getting home, I had no appetite at all for dinner.

There is no effective collaboration process. The business team’s information consists only of what is provided by the platform. Basically, my role involved handling design and copywriting, as well as contacting the various platform representatives to obtain the information I needed. My work was also frequently rejected and sent back for reworking. Eventually, even when I had almost copied previous employees’ work, I still had to revise it. In the end, I no longer felt that I was helping the brand develop its market in Taiwan; I was merely a graphic designer who was not allowed to make mistakes. Given the company’s history, it should have a marketing department and dedicated copywriting and design departments, but the company has very few employees, which means you have to take on multiple roles.

Pros

The company’s interior is new.

Cons

The interviewer was a woman, but her professionalism was clearly lacking! She kept emphasizing that the company has been around for more than a decade, but she didn’t realize that repeatedly mentioning “more than a decade” would make people wonder: After more than a decade, this is the scale you’ve reached?? And her way of speaking was also quite sarcastic... There’s really no need for a small agency to act like this! No matter what, you’re just working on behalf of someone else’s brand anyway. It’s really nothing to be proud of....

Pros

I happened to come across this and noticed that all these comments were posted a long time ago. Although I only worked here for two months during last year’s summer vacation, I found all my colleagues very easy to get along with. The boss loved feeding us, and there was nothing else particularly unpleasant.

Cons

The building is tall, the elevator takes a long time to arrive, and it’s inconvenient to buy lunch nearby.

Pros

The salary is good.

Cons

Thanks to everyone on this forum. Although I only saw the reviews after receiving the offer, I decided to go take a look first, figuring that no matter what, I might as well see for myself. In the end, after just one morning, all of the points everyone mentioned turned out to be accurate. This company is really something. Anyone considering joining should think carefully. If you want to tough it out for the salary, you can give it a try—but who knows how long you’ll last, haha.

Wishing everyone on this forum a peaceful and smooth life.

As for audio surveillance, the complete lack of organization in the folders, the terrible internal personnel atmosphere, nepotistic relationships, and so on—all of these have been confirmed. You can judge for yourselves.

Pros

No advantages, except that the office is simply very new.

Cons

I advise anyone considering joining this company to think twice before proceeding. The hiring manager’s EQ during the interview was very low. The job was described very favorably during the interview, but the actual experience after joining was very different. Having a good product is useless if the manager is terrible. At this company, you are essentially cheap labor. The reviews on this site are indeed accurate: surveillance cameras are used to monitor whether employees are working diligently. The manager’s abilities are very ordinary—in fact, one could say she is incompetent. She mainly became a manager because of her family connections. The manager’s logic is seriously flawed, and quite a few people have resigned because of her. They also have difficulty recruiting people because of her. Finally, remember to light a blessing lamp to illuminate your path, so that you do not accidentally stumble into such a terrible company.

Pros

Two days off per week; public holidays off

Cons

To survive at this company, you need to have a very strong subservient mentality. According to the stated working hours, you only get one hour of overtime after 1.5 hours have passed after the scheduled end of the workday! When the workday ends, no one dares to prepare to leave. The supervisors have also become accustomed to this and are happy to see it continue, only saying that people can leave once the 1.5 hours are almost up. The situation of pressuring employees to work extra hours on regular shifts has become part of the company culture. Most importantly, no one dares to speak up. Even when there is genuine overtime, no one dares to take a break during the half hour. If you seek the rights you are entitled to, you will be treated as an outsider! Moreover, the company has not established any standard SOPs for its operations. The bosses constantly monitor employees using surveillance cameras equipped with audio recording. If, after hearing all this, you still want to join, I can only wish you the best!

The company is located in a new office building of the Xindian District Office; the environment and facilities are both quite good.

Cons

1. An emotional boss who often speaks loudly on the phone at the company about private matters at home, has an extremely strong need for control, and requires everything to be done according to his standards.

2. Likes to watch the surveillance cameras to find out whether you are working throughout your entire shift.

3. Other than work, you cannot attend to any private matters. Personal matters such as answering calls or replying to LINE messages are not allowed.

4. His words are barbed at every turn; he berates employees as if they were children and shows them no respect.

If you can accept all of the above, then you should be able to survive at the company.

Pros

Although this concerns a previous work experience and things may have improved by now, I am describing my personal experience at the time for everyone’s reference. I have written it in great detail because it was so absurd that I find it difficult to forget. Since everything is factual, I am not afraid that they will figure out who I am. Of course, it would be best if the company has already made improvements—then everyone can be happy.

1. The division of responsibilities and authority between the supervisors was unclear. I was told that my direct supervisor, Supervisor A, could approve the final drafts, but Supervisor B kept voicing objections. The two supervisors seemed like business partners running the company together, so although their duties were divided, this created confusion in many decisions and made the workplace feel quite emotional. (See the section at the end about my dismissal.)

2. Regularly working overtime to perform duties outside my own role (packing shipments), without compensatory leave or overtime pay. (However, I did not clarify this before joining. During the interview, the supervisor described it rather casually, saying things like everyone might stay until around seven o’clock before leaving. Since the interview atmosphere was good and I liked the company’s products, I did not ask further. In practice, I often had to stay to help pack goods for shipment. My position was graphic designer, but I would stay for several hours at a time. I was not the only one staying; everyone in the office did.)

3. The versions of the design software used by the company were very outdated, and the computer hardware was also inadequate, making it difficult to work on files. (So anyone interested should remember to check the current situation during the interview; perhaps they have replaced the computers.)

4. Although the company was a fairly sizable distributor, almost all the materials used in the advertising images it created for e-commerce platforms were downloaded from Pinterest, collaged, and edited. That should be illegal, shouldn’t it? (The previous designs were all made this way, so the supervisor also required me to work this way, and there were no other image libraries available.)

5. At the time, the company had a migrant domestic worker responsible for cleaning and miscellaneous tasks. I am not sure whether she was the supervisor’s private domestic worker, but the supervisor really treated her like a dog, ordering her around in a very unpleasant tone and even laughing at her (the woman was not good at Chinese). She was verbally abused whenever she did something slightly wrong, and when we worked overtime packing shipments, she also had to stay and pack with us. If she was a private domestic worker, that should also have been illegal.

6. About a week after I started working, I woke up one morning with severe menstrual pain and called to take menstrual leave. Another colleague answered and said it was OK. Less than 10 minutes later, I received a furious phone call from Supervisor B (who was neither my direct supervisor nor the person directly responsible for the company’s personnel management). As soon as I answered, they said: “Yesterday was your last day!” At the time, I felt it was absurd that, even though the supervisors were women, I was fired for taking menstrual leave—and they apparently did not even want to pay me for the day I took menstrual leave. Therefore, I carefully listed my overtime hours and calculated the overtime pay according to the Labor Standards Act, added my originally owed wages, and wrote it all on a note, asking the company to pay me legally when I completed the departure procedures. (Before going to complete the departure procedures, I messaged the supervisor to ask how the overtime hours would be handled. Although I had only worked there for about a week, I remembered working more than ten hours of overtime, including overtime hours that, under the Labor Standards Act, should be paid at double time. At the time, the supervisor replied that the company operated under a responsibility-based system. I directly replied that the company’s industry was not covered by the legally defined responsibility-based system, and that if they could not accept calculating wages according to the law, we could go to the labor authorities for mediation. They then stopped responding and quietly accepted it. My wages were calculated through the day I took menstrual leave.)

When I went through the departure procedures, Supervisor A explained that Supervisor B had seen that I was not at my desk that morning and assumed I was lazy and late. (In reality, during the week I worked there, I was late by at most about five minutes. Usually, it was simply that I took slightly longer waiting for the elevator in the building and entered the company one minute late—not every day, either.) Moreover, Supervisor B was usually out conducting business and did not even come into the office every day. The fact that an employee could be evaluated based on such an emotional impression, to the point that they could call and say I was being fired immediately, shows how strange the division of authority and responsibility in this company was. Even though they were so angry at the time, they did not ask anyone else (the office was very small) whether I had taken leave; they simply called to berate me. As for why they did not know I had taken menstrual leave: they were not my direct supervisor and did not manage the company’s personnel, so it was quite normal that they did not know. But then why could they directly decide to fire me? This is the part I have always found most absurd.

That is all.

The products represented by the company are actually quite good. I hope the company can uphold a spirit of compliance with the law, whether regarding intellectual property, the treatment of employees, or working hours.
