The company is located in a new office building belonging to the Xindian District Office. The environment and facilities are both very good, and the interview process was quite pleasant. It felt like a well-organized company with good development potential, and since the salary was good, I decided to join the company.
For a company that has been around for more than a decade, the shared files are extremely disorganized. There is no naming system or filing logic, and files may be scattered everywhere or exist only as JPG files.
The company atmosphere is somewhat too high-pressure. Colleagues are often scolded in a very humiliating manner, which really affects their mood at work. The company has a snack cabinet, but I heard that the snacks are for when people work overtime. Overtime is routine, and no one leaves work at 18:00 on time. After 18:30, you have to fill out a form, and only after the boss approves it can you receive overtime pay. After getting home, I had no appetite at all for dinner.
There is no effective collaboration process. The business team’s information consists only of what is provided by the platform. Basically, my role involved handling design and copywriting, as well as contacting the various platform representatives to obtain the information I needed. My work was also frequently rejected and sent back for reworking. Eventually, even when I had almost copied previous employees’ work, I still had to revise it. In the end, I no longer felt that I was helping the brand develop its market in Taiwan; I was merely a graphic designer who was not allowed to make mistakes. Given the company’s history, it should have a marketing department and dedicated copywriting and design departments, but the company has very few employees, which means you have to take on multiple roles.
