1. There is absolutely no compliance with the Labor Standards Act. Forget about annual leave—there is not even basic marriage, bereavement, or sick leave. Even when you take leave, they tell you to make up the time the following month. The pay is also below the minimum wage.
2. The manager’s behavior is something else—she acts like a lunatic and focuses on the person rather than the issue. If she dislikes you, she berates you and targets you at every turn.
3. The company has no systems or regulations whatsoever. Whatever the manager says is the policy. The problem is that she changes what she says at any time, so the policies are constantly being changed according to her mood.
4. An extremely unscrupulous company, full of all kinds of traps, deception, and fraud.
5. Reporting it is useless. The boss is the chair of the trade association and simply ignores the Labor Standards Act.
1. The colleagues are all very easy to get along with.
2. They are very generous with bonuses; bonuses for consumables are split evenly between the salesperson and the company.
This company is completely incapable of training newcomers. On my very first day, my supervisor even told me, “This line of work relies on talent”!
Yeah, right—they don’t teach you any sales techniques at all. They just tell rookies to stand nearby and listen. They also tell you not to bother memorizing the specifications because you’ll learn them with time. All day, you just wander around the shop, space out, talk nonsense, count inventory, receive shipments, stock merchandise, wait for customers to come in, and then ruthlessly rip them off.
If you have the heart to fleece customers by charging them exorbitant prices and can tolerate boredom, this job is actually pretty decent. At least you’re indoors and unaffected by wind or rain. Although the base salary is average for the industry, they are very generous with bonuses. Basically, the more willing you are to quote a high price, the more bonus you can earn—it just depends on whether your conscience suddenly bothers you when you go to bed at night!
Terrible company. It does not comply with the Labor Standards Act—there is no annual leave. If you take leave, it will be deducted from your pay the following month. The manager’s treatment of people is even worse.
