There is no overtime pay, and part-time employees also have to fill out some reports, whereas other positions of the same nature do not have to. Overtime pay still isn’t provided for working on compensatory days off as required by the Labor Standards Act. Ridiculous~

The HR attitude was extremely poor. They asked questions in a completely skeptical manner. Throughout the entire interview, the only words that came to mind were “provocation” and “anger.” They even made sarcastic remarks about the amount of time the applicant had spent looking for a job, showing no consideration for the other person’s feelings. The rapid-fire question-and-answer format only made it feel as though this interview was being conducted just to check a box before rushing home from work. There was no interaction throughout the process, only skepticism and provocation. From the HR representative’s questions, it was also clear that they seemed to think finding candidates was an easy task. It was extremely uncomfortable. It is difficult to understand how a company can expect people to want to work there while adopting such a condescending attitude toward applicants—or even seeming to take pleasure in putting them down. A company that prides itself on its brand, yet recruits talent with such a disrespectful attitude, not only damages its own reputation but also disappoints consumers who have supported the brands it represents.

You interview for a full-time position, but when filling out the paperwork, they tell you that you are a dispatched worker.

The brand has only moderate recognition, yet it considers itself a foreign company and looks down on other brands. It says that employees cannot wear any clothing, pants, or shoes bearing other brands to work; nothing from another brand may appear anywhere visible on their bodies. In particular, Roots is described as an enemy, and only the company’s own brand may be worn. They even asked whether the interviewee had ever purchased the company’s branded products. This is merely a counter administrative position, yet it imposes a long list of requirements. Moreover, the position is actually a “contract position,” which was not stated in the job posting. They first lured people into filling out a pile of forms and only explained this at the end of the interview. It is essentially a scam. Anyone notified to attend an interview should carefully consider the company’s integrity.
