Pros

The salary during the probationary period is higher than my previous salary

They said the salary would be adjusted after the probationary period

A guaranteed year-end bonus equivalent to two months’ salary

Cons

I felt extremely disrespected during the interview

The interviewer did not turn on their camera

They came across as very impolite

They kept asking what my parents do for a living

Even after I gave a brief answer, they continued to question the details of my parents’ occupations

Someone who didn’t know better would think my parents were the ones applying for the job

Because I also have experience in another direct-selling company,

they kept asking about the conditions of the internal departments

How many people are in each department

What does any of this have to do with the job?

They then insisted on calling my previous two companies to conduct employment verification

But I had already left my previous-previous job,

and the managers and employees I knew were basically no longer there

They still insisted, telling me to notify them that they would call the company to ask about my employment there

They said this was the only way they could understand my work attitude, how to interact with me afterward, and how they should manage me

But the point is that everyone I knew there has already left. Is there any use in calling the company?

I said that providing my former supervisor’s personal contact information

would be somewhat impolite

But they said I still didn’t understand that this was how large corporations operated

Whoever still wants this job can go ahead and take it

Pros

No particular advantages

It simply complies with the basic requirements of Taiwan's Labor Standards Act

But there are many places where it exploits loopholes

Cons

It is just a typical traditional Taiwanese family business, taken over by the second generation. The owner's sons and daughters have no experience or ability to run a company, nor any work experience.

During the video interview, the daughter would not turn on her camera to interview you, which was extremely rude and showed no interview etiquette whatsoever.

The salary range listed on 104 was not what they offered you; they offered a salary below the listed range and then said they would adjust it after three months. However, even after the adjustment, it still did not match the salary originally discussed. The performance bonus listed on 104 has reportedly never been received by colleagues who have worked there for years.

The company is continuing to operate by using resources left behind by the former owner 20 years ago. The systems and equipment are extremely old and worn out, and the work processes for employees are highly inhumane, making work very difficult and inefficient. When numerous improvement proposals were raised, the bosses simply ignored them and were unwilling to invest any money or effort in changing the work processes. The bosses know nothing and have no understanding whatsoever of what frontline employees actually do. It is very easy for a single policy from management to leave all the employees exhausted, while the bosses believe that we are idle and have nothing to do.

The lucky draw mentioned on 104 is a draw held together with 5,000 direct-selling distributors. Company employees have no separate year-end banquet, and colleagues who have worked there for years have never won a prize. During the year-end banquet, back-office staff still have to work and eat very unappetizing boxed meals. The company does not provide water, so you have to bring your own.

The daughter always pretends to be very open-minded, saying that any problems can be communicated and discussed with her. I once saw a colleague raise a question about the company's future direction, which made her feel that the employee was testing her and caused her to lose face and feel hurt. That employee was then labeled a problem employee by the company, and after that, no one raised questions anymore.

There are no standards whatsoever for the year-end performance review; the scores are simply based on the bosses' moods. Because they do not understand your job duties, they rate your performance based on their impression of you. The company's performance grows year after year, but your year-end bonus may actually decrease instead of increase.

Good luck to everyone considering working here.

Pros

Annual salary adjustment

Cons

The year-end party isn’t for employees; it’s for the members. You have to work and can only eat a boxed meal, with no water provided—you have to bring your own.

Benefits are exploited, and the members are of poor quality.

The company has no systems whatsoever and makes empty promises.

They look down on people and treat all employees as if they were stealing their salaries, only serving to undermine employee morale.

They make people feel worthless.

The company’s performance grows year after year, yet this is not reflected in the year-end bonus.

If you genuinely want to work here, I wish you the best.

Pros

You can get up later to go to work during the day

Cons

Working hours are 13:00–22:00, Monday to Friday

On Mondays, employees take turns working in Taoyuan; it is said that you can leave on time at 21:00

Employees take turns working Saturdays, approximately once or twice a month. Saturday work is compensated with time off in lieu only and is not counted as overtime

The Taoyuan headquarters holds approximately one or two briefings or training sessions each month on Saturdays, and you also need to provide support. These are likewise compensated with time off in lieu only

Fridays are usually the busiest. If you work overtime, time after 22:00 counts as overtime and will be paid accordingly

There may also be a few particularly busy periods each year, during which work may continue until 11 p.m. or midnight

Annual leave is only granted after completing one full year of employment. The salary is NT$29,000 for the first three months, then it will be adjusted after three months, and it is also adjusted every year
