The salary during the probationary period is higher than my previous salary
They said the salary would be adjusted after the probationary period
A guaranteed year-end bonus equivalent to two months’ salary
I felt extremely disrespected during the interview
The interviewer did not turn on their camera
They came across as very impolite
They kept asking what my parents do for a living
Even after I gave a brief answer, they continued to question the details of my parents’ occupations
Someone who didn’t know better would think my parents were the ones applying for the job
Because I also have experience in another direct-selling company,
they kept asking about the conditions of the internal departments
How many people are in each department
What does any of this have to do with the job?
They then insisted on calling my previous two companies to conduct employment verification
But I had already left my previous-previous job,
and the managers and employees I knew were basically no longer there
They still insisted, telling me to notify them that they would call the company to ask about my employment there
They said this was the only way they could understand my work attitude, how to interact with me afterward, and how they should manage me
But the point is that everyone I knew there has already left. Is there any use in calling the company?
I said that providing my former supervisor’s personal contact information
would be somewhat impolite
But they said I still didn’t understand that this was how large corporations operated
Whoever still wants this job can go ahead and take it
