They showed me just how incompetent and shameless people at a waste-of-a-software company can be

(1) My previous qualifications and salary are clearly listed, so if you don't have that salary budget, don't waste my time.

(2) The interviewer had little substance and liked to pretend to be very professional, asking a whole bunch of pointless questions.

(3) They couldn't even answer questions about the business operating procedures or the division of responsibilities between departments—something that should have been clear within their own company—and then became somewhat defensive.

To be frank, your planning manager is very stupid.

The website is very well-known, and many young people want to join it.

The company that operates the <獎金獵人網站> has already approached me twice to invite me for interviews—first for a Marketing Planning position, and this time for a Project Execution Planning position. Both times, they said that my résumé was highly suitable for the position and asked me to complete a written test before the interview. However, after I completed the test, they refused to interview me, claiming that my résumé did not meet their requirements.

I am completely baffled. They searched for my résumé themselves and invited me to interview, but when they wanted to reject me, they used an unsuitable-résumé excuse. I strongly suspect that they were only trying to obtain the written-test content from applicants for use as a reference for their own project planning.

After I got back, I was curious and took a quick look at the previous reviews.

I specifically traveled north for the interview (so I should value the interview stage more than other people!), and I just finished the interview today, so I thought I’d share some comments from my perspective.

First, I applied for the Planning Assistant Intern position. There was no written test, but during the process they did ask us what we thought about the company’s services.

There were seven interviewers this time, including four applicants, me included. As soon as we went in, they explained that they were members from various departments and fields. Although the large lineup was somewhat intimidating, it was also quite a great sign of respect toward us～

Basically, as long as you have a certain level of ability and substance, you can answer the questions smoothly. The questions were not particularly tricky either. I noticed that the male founder listened very carefully to our answers, and when he gave feedback, it was clear that he had been listening. However, during the process, the male founder seemed to have a phone call and an urgent matter to handle first. I think his personality is related to his mug: “As soon as possible”—he’s someone who places great emphasis on execution XD. But it did not affect the interview at that point, and the overall process was quite pleasant.

The female founder also maintained eye contact and gave feedback throughout, while smiling. During the process, the team atmosphere felt very good～

So, in my view, the interview process and content have improved～

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to have the cats rub against me...

1. They had probably just changed offices～They hadn’t put up a sign yet. When I arrived, I walked around in circles several times and also asked other companies where the Encos office was. I finally found out and successfully got inside.

2. This may not sound very nice, but the intern who happened to be interviewing in the same session was somewhat less experienced～So this may be one factor that could make applicants slightly concerned about the company. (Objective, not a criticism

The colleagues are very nice.

Business: Before performance results are finalized, costs are increased, causing performance bonuses to be substantially reduced. Performance bonuses may also be drastically cut without explanation. One of the founders is the head of business development; when meeting with clients, they often lack professionalism and are frequently unable to answer clients’ questions. Clients often have many complaints after projects are completed.

Planning: One of the founders is the head of planning and has an unpredictable temperament. The supervisor also handles planning projects personally but often does not understand the situation, leaving colleagues to clean up the mess. Their remarks are often barbed, and planning bonuses are extremely low.

Systems: There is an excessive amount of customized work, and employees must also secretly guard against the supervisor reporting them to the founders. No matter how much the system is optimized, it will ultimately be criticized as if it were garbage. Salary growth is average, but the starting salary is extremely low.

Special reminder: Although it is a very well-known website, many students may have overly idealized expectations of it, and the gap from reality is considerable. In addition, nearly half of the company consists of interns. Interns have an extremely heavy workload and often work even during holidays; doing work outside their responsibilities is commonplace. There are cats in the office, which are very cute, but the two founders have relatively poor hygiene habits, so people with obsessive cleanliness should think carefully. Although working hours are flexible, leaving the company too early will prompt sarcastic remarks and concerned questioning.

An online written test is required before the interview. The test takes two hours and can only be completed during weekday daytime hours, which is very inconvenient and gives the impression that it may be used for “reference.”

The interviewers were the two founders, one man and one woman.

The man did not speak at all from beginning to end; the woman led the interview.

Her manner of speaking came across as extremely discourteous and impolite.

She interrupted the interviewee’s answers more than once, saying, “Okay, that’s enough,” or, “Please answer the questions in bullet points; I need to take notes.”

It left a very bad impression. I advise everyone not to take time off work and waste their time.
