Pros

Although the company isn’t making money, it won’t skimp on the basics it should provide.

Cons

If you can avoid going to the NxxxD department, don’t go. The turnover rate is extremely high, and there’s no need to ask why. If you want to experience it for yourself, go ahead and give it a try!

Haven’t had the opportunity to see it yet.

Cons

It is a veteran electronics industry company in Taiwan with the potential to become an outstanding, sustainable company. Unfortunately, its lack of action and entrenched mindset mean that opportunities will not wait.

I have never encountered such disrespectful HR personnel/interviewers—“damn” is the only way to describe it! After the first-round interview with HR, I was told that the hiring manager would take over for the second round. I waited for half an hour, calling HR every 10 minutes to ask her to get him. The third time, she said, “If you have other arrangements and can’t wait, you can leave first.” Eventually, a middle-aged man came to interview me. I felt he had been brought in as a scapegoat to deal with me. After listening to my self-introduction, he quickly said he had no questions and told me to ask questions, otherwise he would let me go. I told him frankly that, in all my years in the workforce, I had never experienced such treatment in an interview. He acted as though it had nothing to do with him, so I asked question after question, while he gave dismissive, 10-second answers, trying to make me feel embarrassed enough to give up and leave. After spending 10 minutes going back and forth with him, I gave up and agreed to end the interview. Normally, interviewers walk candidates to the door or show them the way out, but he opened the door and quickly left. This was truly an interview I will never forget.

Pros

1. The company has many facilities, including a gym, showers, and an employee cafeteria

2. The company culture is pretty good and not overly bureaucratic

3. Overall, it's a good company

Cons

1. There is still some office politics, as well as engineers who code with their mouths rather than their hands

2. The C-level manager does not understand the technology but manages the R&D team, so you can imagine how good the products will be. When a product is not done well, they just redo it, but the testing issues related to product quality still have not been resolved.....

3. I recommend not wasting your time with the departments related to DxxS. Development is very chaotic and lacks a system. Although the product's functionality and scope are already quite large, they want to sell it to customers even before it has passed product testing. The quality of the software products is worrying.

The manager conducting the interview openly told the candidate that they did not want to manage anything, so the candidate would have to do tasks that were not part of the position. They seemed proud that this was different from other companies? As the conversation went on, their attitude got worse and worse, and they even talked about how other candidates were this and that, but I really didn’t want to hear any of that.

Pros

The HR staff and managers are all very nice.

Cons

When HR was checking my résumé, they asked me to fill in my national identification number, and I did so without refusing.

Actually, many companies nowadays no longer require job applicants to provide their national identification number if it is left blank. After all, it is highly sensitive personal information.

Fortunately, this was a large company, so I trust that they will properly store and destroy my data. (I hope.)

As for small companies, they generally do not require it. It depends on whether the person responsible for printing the résumé, as well as the manager who receives it, remembers to shred and destroy it if it is not needed.

HR is great; however, the head of the HR department should consider removing the requirement that HR remind applicants that their national identification number is mandatory.

Pros

1. The entrance is very impressive, and the high ceilings create a commanding feel.

2. The office is spacious and clean.

3. Following the direction of most Hsinchu Science Park tech companies, it has an employee cafeteria, gym, and more... (Whether you actually use them is another matter.)

4. Different outside vendors sell products every day.

5. Most colleagues are very easygoing.

6. A company primarily focused on research and development.

Cons

1. A traditional industry company in the guise of a tech company, clinging to many outdated ideas.

2. Some back-office departments are very poor at using technology tools; even their Excel skills need improvement.

3. Colleagues voluntarily stay very late every day. It makes you wonder: Is there really that much work, or do they simply lack an effective way to work?

4. The internal systems are a complete mess, with no one coordinating them. Everyone just wants to be the nice person and avoid taking responsibility. (Hence the illusion of harmony.)

5. It feels very lacking in energy.

Before entering the company’s main entrance, I felt that the environment was quite good.

Cons

As someone mentioned earlier, if experienced professionals are needed, why invite people with no qualifications at all to an interview?

This causes trouble for both the supervisor and the interviewee. One can imagine how efficient this company is at getting things done.

https://www.104.com.tw/job/?jobno=3s3jk&jobsource=

I interviewed with this company just last year, and the experience was extremely poor!! During the interview, the primary interviewer asked me to introduce myself. After I explained my abilities, the manager then said that they needed someone who was very familiar with a whole range of newly emerging application systems, such as AWS/Docker.

I replied directly, “You should be looking for a super-skilled person to take on this job,” and the manager did not respond!!

Because I had initially emailed my résumé in Word format directly to HR, I do not know whether HR reviewed my qualifications to determine if they matched the requirements.

I only know that when I went for the interview, the company’s manager should have known whether I was qualified; otherwise, they would not have invited me to interview. Yet this company was clearly just fooling around: after I introduced myself, they only then told me that they wanted an exceptionally skilled candidate!!

When I sent my résumé, there was no mention whatsoever of application systems such as AWS/Docker. It only said that familiarity with Linux/FreeBSD systems was preferred, along with PHP programming, so I applied proactively. I never expected this kind of outcome!! After learning about this platform, I came here specifically to publicly share the ridiculous incident I encountered at this company last year!! First, here is my main conclusion:

1. HR/the interviewing manager had no understanding of whether the résumé I submitted met the requirements.

2. The company did not clearly explain the skills required for this position. (The addition of AWS/Docker was the result of my complaint to 104.)

3. Even though the company knew that no one would apply if it listed the requirements this way, it still posted the position like this. This shows that the company’s attitude was simply to post the opening “just in case”; there was no actual staffing need—it was merely an advertisement to deceive investors!!
