Pros

There is air conditioning in the company. The HR staff seem to function more like receptionists. There was no water available to drink upon arrival, so it is recommended that you bring your own water.

Cons

I had been in Thailand for two and a half years and had heard of the renowned multinational company CP, so I submitted my résumé and applied for an interview.

On Monday, July 29, I scheduled an interview by phone with Assistant Manager Hung for Wednesday, July 31, at 14:00.

I arrived at the company on time at 14:00 on Wednesday and filled out the required information. HR then said that Assistant Manager Hung was in a meeting and asked us to wait. We were taken to another room to watch a company introduction video, which played three times while we waited.

At approximately 15:05, I went out to ask HR, only to find out that Assistant Manager Hung was interviewing other candidates. Since I had other important plans that evening, I had to leave first.

<Conclusion>

When you have made an appointment with someone, being punctual should be the most basic thing to do. After all, we also spent time and money traveling to the company, and this reflects the company’s attitude as well.

If something comes up unexpectedly, you should notify us in advance and reschedule the appointment with us—not wait until we arrive to inform us at the last minute. This was inefficient. After all, a company’s employees represent the company, especially senior executives, who can be considered the company’s public face. If this is how the company treats people who come for interviews, then there is still a lot of room for improvement in its management.

CP is a very well-known international company, so it is truly unfortunate that this happened today. I am sharing the actual situation here because I sincerely hope that your company will continue to improve.

Thank you all for your patience in reading this.

Pros

About five years ago, I worked as a management trainee at a prepared-food factory.

The employees got along well. Although there was a lot of work and overtime was common, overtime pay was calculated according to the statutory rates, which was already better than many private companies out there.

Free air conditioning and an indoor environment—it’s a great place to make your skin fairer and fairer ˊ_>ˋ

As a management trainee, you need to be patient and have the right attitude toward learning.

As long as you don’t make any major mistakes, you’re sure to get promoted.

Cons

There didn’t seem to be any particular drawbacks during my time there.

I left simply because I had to return home to take over the family business; it wasn’t because of any problem with the company.

Cons

The head of the information technology department comes from a finance background and berates people every day. He even takes out on subordinates his domestic problems, arguments with his wife, and difficulties disciplining his son. However, he is very good at currying favor with upper management, to the point that when there are software problems, for example, he shifts the blame to the engineers.

Pros

Even in a godforsaken place like Nantou, it's hard to find anything better, so you can only make do and stay.

Cons

The boss is from a foreign company (a Thai company), so you can imagine how good the benefits are: they sell meat products that are about to expire to the employee welfare committee, which then distributes them to employees.
