Pros

Regular finishing time

Cons

This is a job at an egg farm somewhere in northern Taiwan.

You have to drive a 3.5-ton truck and follow a fixed route every day to transport eggs. Generally, each delivery trip takes half a day. In addition to loading and unloading goods and checking, receiving, and signing for them, you sometimes have to help stock the shelves when delivering to supermarkets. When you encounter difficult people, you may also be given a hard time.

When you are not out making deliveries, you also have to proactively help with production-line work; otherwise, people will criticize you. Sometimes, if traffic congestion causes you to return a little late, some people will question whether you were slacking off outside.

In short, this egg-packing factory is a gossip center full of meddling busybodies. It is not enough to simply do your own work; you have to keep these busybodies satisfied. Otherwise, the busybody team leader will definitely smear you and make things difficult for you.

There is only one driver transporting the eggs, so you have to handle all the work by yourself. You should be mentally prepared for the physical demands. When you return to the factory, you also have to help with physically demanding tasks such as moving eggs.

In short, this place is a small society. There may not be many people, but strange and troublesome characters are everywhere.

Young people are advised not to come here.

Pros

Convenient for buying eggs.

Cons

This egg-grading and packing facility located in northern Taiwan has fewer than 10 employees in total, so each person has a specific role to fill. Because there are so few employees, the pay is only the minimum wage. This may also be due to the declining birth rate, as most of the workers on site are middle-aged or older women. As a result, male employees are easily pressured into doing physically demanding搬運 work. In addition, the middle-aged and older female workers tend to constantly grumble, and the line supervisor is also a middle-aged or older woman who has no management concepts and only assigns work based on experience. The senior manager does not appear to manage the facility either, probably coming in only once every week or two, staying for half a day to sign some reports, and then leaving. The entire facility is essentially controlled by the female supervisor and another female accountant. If you can tolerate the women’s constant complaints, the routine heavy lifting, and cleaning every day, and have nothing to do at home, you could come here to pass the time. However, young people are not advised to work here because you will not gain any experience. At most, when you see boxed eggs at the supermarket, you may feel like picking them up to take a look.

Pros

Normal working hours, with very little overtime.

The work is simple and doesn’t require much thought.

The supervisor rarely comes by.

Cons

This is a job at an egg farm somewhere in northern Taiwan. Because the supervisor usually rarely comes in, the on-site team leader is in charge. Also, because the workforce is overwhelmingly female (the team leader is a woman as well), whenever a man joins, he is assigned all the tasks that require heavy lifting. In addition, most of the workers are middle-aged or older, so they often use their seniority to their advantage. The machines and floors must be cleaned before the end of every workday. Broken eggs and egg liquid are splattered all over the floor, creating a disgusting, unpleasant, fishy smell. The same work is performed every day. Anyone considering this job should be mentally prepared: this is a workplace involving simple tasks, so you do not need to think much, but for that very reason, most coworkers talk about mundane household matters and everyday trivialities. Young people are advised not to come here.

Pros

None

Cons

Probably about 5 or 6 years ago

I interviewed with a bald man

He asked me what my thesis was about

After I answered, he replied with something like, “Isn’t that a very normal result?” or “That’s a very simple result,” or something along those lines

I guess this bald guy probably has never written a thesis

First, you don’t even know what the point of writing a thesis is

Second, would someone capable of writing an impressive thesis come to interview at your company? Did you misunderstand something?

When I think about the sales figures I handle now and my income,

looking back after a few years, all I can say is: no wonder you can only be like this

Pros

As far as the work itself is concerned, for this day and age, the bonus is still fairly decent.

Cons

Here’s the problem: bonuses only count if the company actually wants to give them.

For unofficial reasons, simply because the boss feels that an employee caused some kind of loss (such as outstanding receivables), the rules are ultimately flexible and people’s minds are not—even if the supervisor knows you worked very hard, they may simply compromise by not paying you the bonus for this quarter.
