Pros

At the beginning, they asked about my professional expertise, etc. The vice president's questions were very sharp.

Cons

The following is my interview experience.

The interview was conducted in a 1-to-4 format: one applicant interviewed by four interviewers.

The interview process was not much different from others, and the questions did not deliberately touch on private matters (such as whether you have a girlfriend, sexual orientation, family, etc.).

The only issue was that the salary was extremely low. An information assistant engineer earns only NT$22,000 (base salary) + NT$6,000 (professional allowance) = NT$28,000 to NT$33,000. The department manager put it very conservatively, but the interviewee heard it very clearly.

Their vice president asked questions such as what kind of supervisor and colleagues you prefer working with.

Most importantly, their vice president was very clear when discussing the year-end bonus.

The information manager answered that they would improve information security, whether the current situation could be improved, and that they would replace everything together when it was time to do so. ^___^

This company has low salaries and fairly ordinary benefits. There are no bonuses for the three major traditional holidays, and the year-end and professional bonuses depend on the KPI score your supervisor gives you.

Pros

The work content at the company is simple.

You only need to stand guard, issue passes at the internal checkpoint, and direct traffic.

The salary complies with the Labor Standards Act.

Cons

I work at a site in Taichung.

It is a site assigned to China Steel Corporation.

Overall, the atmosphere among colleagues is quite poor.

This is because working hours are often 288 hours per month.

The salary complies with the Labor Standards Act.

After completing 288 hours, my salary is about NT$41,000.

Actually, with ten days off per month, it is approximately NT$36,000.

However, there is a rotating-shift system.

Shifts are changed approximately once every five days.

It is quite inhumane.

This means we have seven days off per month.

It also takes approximately two to four days to adjust our schedules.

Although most of us endure it in order to receive this salary,

unfortunately, the managers at this company like to shirk responsibility.

They also lack the tolerance to retain employees.

Apart from the work originally agreed upon, this company often requires additional duties.

The cameras were installed to monitor colleagues’ work conditions.

We are monitored by surveillance cameras for all twelve hours.

I almost feel like a criminal.

What is even more frightening is that

colleagues also take photos of one another sleeping on the job.

The working hours are already painfully long,

and colleagues still undermine one another.

Managers frequently rearrange your days off,

saying that everyone needs to support one another during difficult times.

Yet the managers themselves get ten days off per month.

As for things like secretly photographing colleagues sleeping,

the managers also tolerate and indulge them.

In addition to these issues,

they often do unreasonable things such as having you change shifts after only one day.

As a result, the shift schedule is extremely chaotic.

They are always saying they cannot find enough people.

We already regularly work twelve-hour shifts.

After work, just having dinner and taking a shower means it is already 8:30 or 9:00 p.m.

There is hardly any private life.

Therefore, apart from these work-related topics,

colleagues talk about many trivial matters,

and they are often exaggerated and untrue.

In conclusion, people who are short on money and can endure this pressure

can take this job.

Otherwise, many colleagues develop diabetes, severe obesity, and high blood pressure.

Many of them show early symptoms at a very young age.

The managers only blame colleagues for having undisciplined private lives.

No matter how much time we spend changing shifts,

they regard it as something we are simply expected to do.

I feel it is really not worth it.

Pros

The headquarters in the China Steel Building is impressive.

Cons

The following is my interview experience.

The interview was conducted in a one-to-three format, meaning one applicant interviewed with three interviewers.

There was nothing unusual about the interview process, and the questions did not deliberately touch on private matters (such as whether I had a girlfriend, sexual orientation, family, etc.).

The only issue was that the salary was extremely low. The headquarters receptionist-secretary position required foreign-language skills, yet the pay was only 22K (base salary) + 6K (functional allowance) = 28K.

Then, “if needed,” you might have to work on holidays for large events. Or, if someone had to go to the China Steel headquarters for a meeting on a day off due to a natural disaster, you would also have to provide support...... They said there would be a salary adjustment, but who knows? They were even very happy to tell me that when the minimum wage is raised to 23K next year, my salary would become 23K + 6K = 29K ^___^

There is serious internal infighting at the company, and it is not friendly toward employees. The company uses high turnover to generate profits and is always short-staffed!

Taking advantage of being a security company, it takes on a bunch of work that security guards should not be doing, then desperately makes employees work overtime, does not pay shift allowances for night shifts, does not pay double wages for typhoon days or national holidays, and does not calculate overtime at the required 1.33/1.66 times the regular rate. Regardless of whether what you do is work that we would consider security work, since the company is a security company, it claims that Article 84-1 of the Labor Standards Act applies, so exploiting employees in any way is not illegal.
