The holiday bonus is a Carrefour voucher worth NT$1,000; the birthday benefit is a Carrefour voucher worth NT$1,000 plus a birthday cake.
The company is affiliated with I-Kuan Tao and is vegetarian. Many employees are I-Kuan Tao members, so they tend to approach work with an “it’s no big deal” attitude. The company is conservative, raises are difficult to obtain, and starting salaries are low.
Obedient, compliant employees are more likely to get promoted; advancement is not based on ability. Except in the sales department, all other units receive overtime pay. Most managers also represent the company’s interests, so they generally do not do much to advocate for employees. It is suitable for fresh graduates to gain experience. Since it is a family business, you should not expect too much. The company has many people with family connections. In general, the company likes to recruit some odd people from outside, but does not make good use of capable people who joined through interviews.
A high degree of freedom, suitable for newcomers to gain experience
Although it is a religious company, it does not treat its employees generously. When a workplace accident occurred, employees were not allowed to call an ambulance.
Low starting salary, difficult to get a raise, and a small year-end bonus. The boss always says to look to the future, but we cannot see anything in the present, so we do not know how to look to the future.
NT$1,000 for each of the three major holidays, plus a little over NT$3,000 in employee travel subsidies. Not much in the way of benefits.
A company affiliated with Yiguandao; you can only eat vegetarian food. In addition to the employee cafeteria serving only vegetarian meals, buying meat dishes from outside is also subject to an unwritten rule.
An old-school family business with a conservative style and many long-timers (whether in age or seniority). Unless you were headhunted or have connections through nepotism with upper management, young employees who join can only wait in line and slowly move up. Outstanding performance is irrelevant, because managers are all complacent and unwilling to accept new methods or ideas. There are also many unwritten rules (landmines) waiting for you to step on.
Because the company makes vehicle components, it follows the IATF 16949 system (formerly called ISO/TS 16949), but of course it is not actually implemented. Every year before the audit, everyone has to work themselves to the bone to fill in missing documentation, as well as complete documentation on behalf of others—an endless process.
Overtime applications require both paper and online submissions. This seemingly brain-dead design is actually intended to make applying for overtime more complicated. Overtime can only be reported until 8 p.m.; whether hours beyond 8 p.m. can be reported depends on whether you have the right supervisor. A good supervisor will let you report them on another day, while a bad supervisor will not allow you to report overtime at all.
