Pros

The colleagues are easy to get along with.

Cons

The boss and a certain vice president are out of their minds and dream all day. Nothing gets resolved until the very last minute. The professional managers have no backbone and only shift responsibility. There is no professionalism, only firefighting… Do not join this company under any circumstances. Everything they say sounds wonderful, but once you join, you will find that it is completely different. Everyone capable has left, such as the marketing department manager and the operations department manager. They were both very experienced, but senior management did not respect them, so they could only leave disappointed!

Pros

Children can enter and play for free; I can't think of anything else.

Cons

The year-end bonus received in 2017 was only half a month's salary. No wonder the company's turnover is so high. The Human Resources and Marketing departments have already been completely replaced with new staff, and the Creative Engineering and Sales departments have also been almost entirely replaced.

The Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival bonuses are at most one NT$1,000 bill. Performance-achievement bonuses are only available in the Operations department. There is no year-end banquet, only a spring banquet, and as for domestic or overseas trips, that's simply wishful thinking.

Don't expect any professional training for employees—that's a lie. In addition, there is no real system for promotions or annual merit-based salary adjustments. Promotions depend on how someone views you; if you're not favored, forget about it. If you are favored, you can be promoted in less than a year. Salary adjustments are the same; the annual evaluations are merely for show.

In short, if you want to die, come on over!

Pros

This company undergoes frequent organizational restructuring because department heads often resign, necessitating department mergers or adjustments.

Few department heads make it past a year, because the head of human resources can oversee HR, marketing, operations, and customer service. Several people have been driven to the brink by this person; all I can say is that this is more ruthless than cross-party politics.

The boss loves to make grand promises and does not respect professional expertise. What was originally a company capable of making money has ultimately been reduced to simply burning money.

There are hardly any good benefits. Overtime can only be exchanged for compensatory leave. The year-end bonus is 0–1 month’s salary—yes, at most one month, and only for a minority of employees.

Only managers receive compensation higher than the average salary published by the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, but how much higher depends on one’s own negotiating ability. General employees all earn below the average salary, roughly between one-half and four-fifths of it.

The boss and managers frequently assign work through mobile messaging apps.

The company uses WeChat exclusively. Leave requests and official business trip applications must be submitted through WeChat forms; everything else is handled on paper, with no digitization whatsoever.

If you are considering joining this company, think it through very carefully. Don’t make life difficult for yourself.

Pros

Being a part-time worker was a very happy experience; I got to play with children every day.

But as a full-time employee, I’d pass.

In Taiwan, they only exploit employees to boost performance—another point against them.

Their focus is shifting to mainland China—another point against them.
