Pros

None

Cons

Busy all year long; despite being an engineer, I had to travel for work every day and was worked to the bone.

There was no overtime pay, and the 2020 year-end bonus was still 0. Those considering joining should be cautious.

Pros

1. Three-year salary history (master’s graduate alternative service):

First year: 36K; second year: 40K; third year: 44K; fourth year: 48K.

Those familiar with salary levels in the machine tool industry should know that this is considered fairly good for the industry.

2. I have heard that when the company was making money, some colleagues received four months’ year-end bonus, but alternative-service employees always received one fixed month.

3. Overtime is paid, and it is easy to report overtime in the R&D department.

4. The company’s pace is relatively slow compared with the electronics industry, and there is more focus on appearances and formality.

5. If you can keep track of your work progress, no one dares say anything if you leave work at 5 p.m. sharp.

Cons

1. The company takes advantage of alternative-service employees because they cannot leave easily. In the first year, overtime pay was only 66 per hour; the year-end bonus was fixed at one month, so even when the workload was the same, alternative-service employees could never earn as much as regular employees.

2. The company has old-fashioned management and almost no benefits. For the three major holidays, they just give gift vouchers, and employees have to sing the company song at the monthly meeting.

3. Most of the company’s R&D projects are just for show: functions are designed and developed by outside vendors, then placed into the machines after completion. As a result, many long-time employees can coast, curry favor, and still receive high compensation.

4. Having the right manager is more important. If you end up with the wrong person, even if you work yourself to death, your year-end performance rating will still be near the bottom.

5. If you are applying for a regular R&D engineering position, I suggest you come and take a look, but negotiate the salary carefully because there are very few opportunities for raises. If you are applying for an alternative-service position, go serve in the military instead—don’t come here and waste your valuable youth.

Pros

Overtime pay is provided.

Cons

The managers are very good at concealing the bad and exaggerating the good, and only know how to flatter. They never dare to speak honestly to the BOSS about the product's shortcomings.

The company's operating policies change frequently. You could say they write reports based on Business Weekly, and often spend time preparing meaningless reports.

This is not suitable for people with too many ideas. When operations perform poorly, everyone's salary is reduced, but when operations perform well, employees receive almost no recognition or rewards.

Pros

The company’s salary calculation method is unusual.

The compensation discussed is divided into base salary and performance pay;

once the company’s performance declines, the performance pay may be adjusted downward. This effectively amounts to a disguised pay cut and can be used to avoid unpaid leave.

Proceed with caution.

Pros

The reward, punishment, and promotion system is unclear!

Lower-level employees are not given much importance!

The company’s overall strategy keeps changing, and senior management only knows how to flatter!

In this workplace, people push off anything they can; those who quietly do their work end up at a disadvantage.
