Read the community guidelinesThe working hours are very flexible, but you need to be highly self-disciplined. The overall work environment is also very good~
If you want to develop a career in marketing planning, you can learn a lot about social media management here.
The company’s products are positioned around very cutting-edge concepts, so thinking through marketing strategies is a major challenge.
There are often opportunities to go on stage and explain things to clients. The logic behind presentation design and the confidence and composure required when presenting provide excellent training for anyone who wants to work in a related field.
The atmosphere among colleagues is pretty good overall.
That said, I’ve never encountered a requirement to return within five minutes of going to the restroom.
These are just my personal opinions.
I didn’t expect that.
The work environment is good
The employees don't know how to do anything, it's a family business with little experience, the senior management are all Christians, saying “hallelujah” every day, and the work lacks breadth and depth
The building is tall, the view is great, and the space seems fairly large.
They don't show much respect for people. When inviting you to submit your résumé, they prearrange a one-on-one interview time in the invitation letter. The job application form is extremely detailed: just for an interview, you have to provide your family members' occupations, ages, and addresses. At the end, there's even a field for your signature agreeing that the company may use this personal information. They probably only require the signature after you get hired, but being asked to fill in all this information first is really irritating.
There was a written test, but I wasn't informed in advance, so I basically went there expecting just to have a conversation. The questions were at a level where you could answer them by rote memorization or with a little review. After the written test, the interviewer reviewed my answers with me in person, but did so in a rather sharp manner, even showing a somewhat preconceived attitude. Also, when I wrote random answers on the written test, they told me not to answer carelessly; when I left something blank, they were surprised that I didn't know it. It left me completely confused!
The interviewer would also state his conclusions directly while asking questions, without considering other people's feelings at all. For example: “So you only know how to use it, but you don't understand the principles behind it?”
They certainly talk a good game, but the project process seems pretty chaotic. I was told that the job involved taking over a project that someone else was rushing to finish. Just hearing that made me feel the code would be terrifying. At first listen, it also seemed that there was no culture of writing tests, managing software dependencies, or using CI/CD. I have every reason to believe they're simply looking for the next person to rush in and finish modifying the thing. 🙄️
Here are a few more memorable quotes for everyone's reference:
“Normally, a proper Swagger document clearly defines all the responses. If your company doesn't have that, that's your company's problem.” (Though he immediately added afterward that only the project he was handling had a “proper” Swagger document 🤣)
“That isn't a question I need to answer. HR will tell you later.” (In the end, HR didn't show up because they were in a meeting 🙄)
Summary:
If you enjoy filling out your own personal information, your family's personal information, and consent forms—and you also like stern, sharp-tongued interviewers who may become your future supervisor—I rather recommend giving it a try.
The salary is pretty good~!!..... Customer service administrative staff earn around 30,000 or more...
But it is lower during the probationary period....... A place where you can briefly enjoy a high salary... but you won't stay long...
1. The training is really poor.... They recruit people with no relevant experience to work...
I had only been there for about a month.... and my supervisor already wanted me to start training newcomers....??...
It was truly baffling.....???..... Why are newcomers called newcomers? Because he or she is not familiar with the entire business process,
and still needs to frequently ask senior colleagues for guidance at work.
When they are unfamiliar with the business procedures, they are assigned to train a new
newcomer after only one month.... Wow~~~ Do you think the quality will be good?...
Will what they teach be correct??.... An excessively high turnover rate is a major problem;
errors easily occur in both business handovers and execution... Bugs... Bugs....
Do you understand..?????
Because you are still in the exploratory stage and there are many things you don't understand, the company's system is very
strange... The supervisor will reply with one sentence... because the people before you happened to have all resigned.... Now
there is no one.
2. I personally have extensive customer service experience. At first, they said the job would primarily involve customer service, with testing as a secondary duty, and that they would first let me work regular shifts for one or two months before possibly switching me to weekend shifts. But after I actually started.... it was completely the opposite..??..... I had only been working for 2 or 3 days... when my supervisor suddenly notified me that I had to work the weekend shift that Saturday, and it was assigned entirely to a newcomer to work the weekend shift..???.... Isn't that too outrageous...?.... The newcomer didn't understand anything... She was still attending training, taking notes while asking a whole bunch of questions..... She didn't even know how to operate the system or perform searches, much less reply to people, etc.... How was she supposed to work a weekend shift alone???.... The company was handling things so recklessly...... Of course.. the temporary weekend testing assignment eventually caused problems.... The call was escalated to the general manager... and in the end, I was the one scolded by the supervisor.... He shifted all the responsibility onto me.... as if he had done nothing wrong......
Does a supervisor like this take responsibility.....?......xxxxxxxxxxx
Does he know how to train newcomers..?...
When managing people, you have to win their hearts too, understand?....
If your supervisor is petty toward others but unwilling to take responsibility......
Would you still want to stay here and work properly....??....
Moreover, the volume of customer service work in Taiwan is extremely low....... There are hardly more than one or two LINE messages to reply to in an entire month; most are handled by colleagues in Malaysia. Yet the customer service work described at the beginning... in reality.... became testing work???.... This is also very different from what was originally explained!
At the time, the senior colleagues in our group told the supervisor that it was highly inappropriate to have me, a newcomer who had only been there a few days, work the weekend shift alone. But the supervisor would not listen.... He only replied that someone had to work the weekend shift that week because the company needed coverage..... It was fine to just put anyone there to get the job done...?!
Can a supervisor like this communicate...?...... Can he properly listen to his subordinates' concerns???.....
3. The company's turnover rate is also very high!!! Four colleagues in the customer service administration group resigned within 2–3 months??....... It felt extremely outrageous..... They were basically conducting internal witch hunts......
The supervisor of that group was young and had not been there long either.... but he was domineering and very difficult to communicate with,
acting as if whatever he said went.... as if he were the boss.. understand..... No matter what problem you brought up with him, such as difficulties encountered at work, he would not patiently let you finish speaking.... He would only loudly berate you and tell you to do as instructed.... You were not allowed to have any opinions. In the end.... colleagues whose testing was not done well.... almost never passed the three-month probationary period.... They were told to get lost~~~
4. I then heard from a colleague that everyone had attended a meeting and training session the previous evening until after 7:30, nearly 8:00...... Under the Labor Standards Act, if you continue doing company work beyond regular working hours, you can ordinarily claim overtime pay~!!!!
But your supervisor told your colleague, “Were you working seriously throughout your working hours? Didn't you secretly browse your phone or do your own things?”.... He completely skipped over the fact that you had stayed until 8:00 the previous evening!!!!!!
He blocked your overtime form..... and would not let you claim it... Do you think this is reasonable...???
Anyone with common sense would know this is unreasonable....
The answer is that overtime pay is not allowed unless you report it in advance and obtain his approval.
5. There are malicious people talking behind others' backs in the workplace.... Sometimes, if you have menstrual cramps or gastroenteritis and feel unwell, so you leave your seat to spend a little longer in the restroom.... that is not allowed either.
You may be slandered by someone... and not even know who did it...... You have to be careful working here...
Do you really need to set an alarm to use the restroom on schedule.....???????....... Ugh
Don't give your heart to this place.... It's pretty frightening....
6. The project schedules are extremely unreasonable...
They expect an entire system to be completed in two or three days, and they do not like conducting testing; they just want to launch it directly.
They do not value the product, but when problems arise, they pressure you and demand to know why you did not do it properly.
7. Recently, a former colleague who had already left told me that the company had run into some problems, and therefore laid off many people in December!!!..... Even a young female HR employee who was her good friend was recently laid off!!!....... It is truly frightening~~~
(I also know this young HR employee, because she helped set up my access card~!)
The above is simply a statement of facts. If you were not involved, you have no right to criticize.
There really aren't any.
There are surveillance cameras everywhere in the company, with no blind spots! It's terrifying! There is no privacy!
As long as computers and mobile phones connect to the company network, all information will be monitored!
Once, after working overtime, I went to ask a supervisor to sign the form. The supervisor questioned me: “Were you working the entire time during your overtime? Are you sure you didn’t go to the restroom, use your phone, or do personal things?”
They even said that, under the Labor Standards Act, employees can take a five-minute break for every hour worked, and that they can review surveillance footage to see whether employees’ break times exceed that. We can keep track of our overtime hours, and the company can also keep track of the time we spend taking breaks!
What is wrong with them! The restroom is about a one-minute walk from the company—how are we supposed to get back within five minutes!
Do we really need to set an alarm for going to the restroom? 🤦
The salary is very high—whatever amount you dare to ask for, they dare to offer.
It’s a place where you can enjoy a high salary temporarily, but you should know that you won’t stay here for long. Whatever you do, don’t put your heart into it.
You’re welcome to name a high salary and help the employees who were bullied in the past get revenge!
1) No matter how well you perform, the boss won’t notice.
2) This company doesn’t need talent. If you consider yourself a master of palace intrigue, you’re welcome to come here, fight your way through the levels, and earn a high salary.
3) If you want to survive for the long term, currying favor with certain senior managers is more practical than doing your job.
4) Working here is mentally and emotionally exhausting because there are so many schemes and rivalries. While you’re working hard, you may already have become a target for backstabbing by petty people who enjoy forming cliques.
The most important point: Very few people holding positions in the company are complete newcomers. They all either have connections or are favorites of senior management, so certain people can get away with anything.
This is a cyclical “survival of the fittest” food chain. If you’re an utterly inexperienced nobody with nothing to your name, please think twice~
The happiest thing is being able to leave work on time every day!
The main point: Don't come here!!
There is no overtime pay, and when calculating the money owed upon resignation, they only count it as 1 as well, and they will also shortchange you.
You also need to be careful because some people may have criminal records.
1. If you leave work normally, people higher up will still ask your supervisor why this person was able to leave work on time.
2. The project schedules are extremely unreasonable. People higher up will casually promise clients deadlines based on their own preferences—possibly saying that an entire system can be completed in two or three days. They also dislike testing and want to launch things directly. They do not value the product, but when problems occur, they will forcefully question you about why you did not do it properly, tell you to fix it quickly, and ask why you did not think it through from the beginning, while they themselves are off having fun.
3. Someone who really likes exploiting people joined the company, because the boss loves this kind of person. As long as money can be saved, he is happiest, so every employee benefit has been reduced. In the past, there were lots of snacks and frozen foods, but now there is nothing. You even have to prepare your own toilet paper, and sometimes there are no garbage bags available, so you have to prepare those yourself too. Employee dinners are also extremely stingy.
Supplement: The benefits are already this terrible, yet they still complain that the company's benefits are too good.
4. Even if you make the company a lot of money, they are unwilling to share profits with employees or even treat everyone to a good meal. For all you know, it may all have gone into their own pockets.
5. They especially like buying useless systems, but when it comes to systems with value, they say there is no money.
6. They are also unwilling to increase staffing and only know how to streamline personnel. One person has to do many things. People who truly have value never get noticed by them. Apart from attractive women, who can get in without any experience, everyone else can forget it.
7. During the interview, absolutely do not casually believe what they say above, because they are all telling you lies. Except for the people in the lowest-level teams, who are more likely to tell the truth—seriously!! Don't believe them. Even if you give them suggestions, they are unwilling to listen; in the end, they simply do whatever the highest level says.
8. Absolutely do not open your heart to certain people (including whistleblowers), because you never know how they might stab you in the back or frame you. Be extremely careful, and figure out clearly who is good and who is bad.
9. Finally, the main point is that the person who really likes exploiting people has harmed this entire company. Although it was already terrible, things became even worse after she came.
(There were already drawbacks before the interview, so there are no advantages.)
The following is my personal experience for reference only and is not absolute:
1. I was only sent a message asking me to fill out the interview personnel information 2.5 hours before the interview!!!
2. I called for a full 20 minutes, but no one answered!!!
3. Continuing from the above, the phone number was different from the one on the official website. I later learned that it was the HR staff member’s direct line, but strangely, the phone rang for so long and no colleague helped answer it!!!
My conclusion: The company’s procedures and culture are questionable, so I decided to give up the opportunity to interview for the position.
