Experience after moving to the new Taipei warehouse

The base salary is not high, but the employee benefits are comprehensive. The salary is fairly OK; the main thing to look forward to is the holiday bonus.

The environment is actually quite good.

It was made to look like a garbage dump by the work-route planning of the junior supervisor.

Work ability is not taken into consideration; decisions are based on personal judgment. Everything is decided by what a certain person says.

The junior supervisor (a certain person) especially likes people who are good at talking and putting on a good appearance.

The work could actually be easy, but the complicated processes make it especially exhausting.

Proactive people are not favored by the supervisor.

Most colleagues who work seriously are easy to get along with.

They are also highly tolerant and help and understand one another.

I recommend it to people who are good at keeping a low profile.

The work itself is good; the main problem lies with upper management.

A kind reminder:

As soon as you notice that you are being singled out, that is the prelude to becoming unemployed.

Cons

The product range is too broad, and there are too many miscellaneous products.

The work routes are chaotic and inefficient.

The junior supervisor is very good at creating a strange atmosphere, while the senior supervisor follows the junior supervisor's views in everything.

There is no ability to make independent judgments.

When you first join, you will be deceived by appearances; after one week, you can feel that something is wrong.

Work is divided into factions. If you have the supervisor's favor, you belong to the aristocratic faction (the junior supervisor and their clique).

They enjoy all kinds of leisurely time, and their work is relatively easy. There are also members of the inner circle who rush around like headless flies every day without knowing what they are busy with.

They repeatedly make mistakes, yet no one dares to say anything. Anyway, the problems are always someone else's fault.

The other type is disliked for no reason and not favored; they work themselves to death and are criticized to death.

If you are in the disliked faction, that young supervisor will spread rumors about you behind your back.

The power of life and death over ordinary employees is in that gentleman's hands, allowing him to fabricate whatever he wants.

As a result, several employees who worked seriously were laid off, leaving while also taking the blame.

The head office's evaluations are all based on reports from the junior supervisor....

There is simply no way to distinguish the truth~

Hint: there is a pair

Pros

The colleagues are all very nice.

Cons

A certain manager is extremely emotional, loves making sarcastic remarks about people, and is very rude, while thinking they are being funny.

In fact, their thinking is old-fashioned. They bully people, and if things do not go their way, they will make your life miserable.

They look down on every subordinate (and in fact, do not do any work at all).

They are very good at maintaining appearances, extremely two-faced, and love using the boss to pressure employees into doing things.

As a senior manager, they clearly know and understand nothing, but still love giving non-professional guidance on professional matters.

(That’s right, they seem very similar to the person mentioned above, but I’m not sure whether they are the same person. It is quite certain that the company may have more than one manager this ugly.)

They do everything according to their preferences. If things do not go their way, they will make things difficult for you and say that your work is terrible. Everything has to be done their way.

If you do not follow their instructions (the results are extremely, extremely bad), they will bad-mouth you in front of others.

Following their instructions does not work either, because their preferences are outdated and naturally not applicable in modern society, which calls for innovation and change.

As a result, the outcome is very poor, and they blame their subordinates for the problems.

I am not sure whether this is the same person mentioned above, but they truly have no ability to self-reflect at all. If nothing goes wrong, that is lucky; if something does go wrong, it is your bad luck.

They will definitely make sarcastic remarks, be harsh, publicly criticize, and scrutinize subordinates who disagree with them or oppose them for professional reasons.

(I honestly have no idea whether this is the same person.)

You work yourself to death, and they absolutely will not help get you a raise.

When you tell them you want a salary increase, their eyes will definitely wander, and then they will bring up mistakes caused by their own decisions in the past to criticize you.

The most important thing to them is saving face. If you embarrass them, they will scold you even over something that is actually unimportant, simply because you made them lose face.

They have an especially poor memory and constantly forget many important things.

They will subject you to verbal bullying without you even realizing it.

They come to work every day but in fact do not work at all. The boss is completely unaware of this, but when they come to work, they only scroll on their phone and stare blankly.

They like to privately message subordinates to work late at night or on holidays.

If you do not reply immediately, they will criticize you.

Before joining, prepare yourself mentally. The colleagues are quite nice, but there are so many problems with the manager that they are enough to enrage both gods and humans.

Pros

Colleagues get along well

Most managers are nice

The benefits are decent

The bonuses are acceptable (depending on the department and manager)

Cons

The base salary is not high (for Taipei City)

A lot of parachuted-in personnel have joined recently

Quite a few long-serving employees who helped establish the company have left

-----------

Then there is one manager who is extremely emotional, full of negativity, and uses negative wording

Very good at painting rosy pictures, making grand promises, and flattering others

Cares deeply about being a manager, keeps all the power in their own hands, and often gives unprofessional guidance on professional matters

As a result, neither the design nor marketing teams have room to work freely; everything is decided by this person

Has absolutely no ability to self-reflect and always dumps the blame on subordinates

Shows extreme favoritism and protection toward favored subordinates. They make a mistake? No problem—just have an unfavored subordinate take the blame

Uses sarcastic and cutting remarks toward disliked subordinates, is harsh with them, publicly criticizes them, and scrutinizes them excessively

On average, every two months, they suddenly announce that the department will be reorganized and its work responsibilities reviewed

They also suddenly change people's duties—for example, suddenly telling administrative staff to do sales

Bonuses are given entirely according to this person's preferences: favored people get a lot, while disliked people get very little. If you ask how the percentage was determined, they will say: “Don't talk to me about money!”

-----------

Quite a few managers treat themselves like nobility: subordinates are expected to carry their luggage and shoulder heavy items

The boss is the emperor, but I think that's reasonable—the company basically relies on him to keep it going

A very traditional family business with a feudal system. Think carefully before joining

Pros

The manager conducting the interview was fairly respectful toward the interviewee.

Cons

I interviewed with this company not long ago. The manager conducting the interview said the starting salary was 25K, plus a 1,000 attendance bonus, with a three-month probationary period. If I passed, the salary would be approximately 26K–27K. They made it clear that the job was based on a responsibility system, with many miscellaneous tasks, so they expected me to work very quickly. If I made a mistake at work, they would directly yell at me...... The working hours were 9:00–6:30, with a one-and-a-half-hour lunch break in between (personally, I think the lunch break is too long =_=). When I heard it was only 25K, I wanted to leave⋯⋯

Pros

The work is not too strenuous, and everyone gets along pretty well.

The company is quite understanding toward mothers with children.

Cons

The salary is a bit low, and younger people may not learn the skills used in the industry outside the company.

It is more suitable for people who already have a solid foundation or mothers returning to the workforce.
