Read the community guidelinesThe new office building looks impressive and has convenient parking.
It is located on the outskirts of an industrial park, and the roads outside are not in very good condition.
There is absolutely no one attending to the building lobby.
I was only informed during the interview that the labor and health insurance would be underreported (using the minimum wage, with the difference made up under the name of a bonus), which was shocking. A company this large told me that this is how traditional industries do things. 104 lists it as offering a high salary and good benefits to lure job seekers into interviews, completely wasting their time.
There really aren't any.
Working overtime and unpaid overtime. When you bring it up, your supervisor tells you that the company already gives you extra benefits and that everything complies with the Labor Standards Act. They even semi-coerce you into waiting until after a year to use your annual leave.
I mean, working from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., with meal breaks counted as being on standby because it’s a storefront; on the first and fifteenth days of the lunar month or during the Lunar New Year, you even have to work until 10:00 or 11:00 p.m. At most, you earn NT$35,000 a month. Isn’t this still a violation of the Labor Standards Act? Judge for yourselves! You’d be better off working at a convenience store.
None
After the interview, the supervisor said to think it over and let them know by Monday at the latest whether I wanted the job.
But when I followed up, they said they weren't sure whether there was still an opening, and that they would ask and get back to me.
Then I never heard anything.
If that's the case, don't say things like that during the interview.
I turned down other companies to choose yours, only to be toyed around and led in circles.
You make promises that you can't keep.
You even said that the company has a high turnover rate because people can't even handle the basics—well, this is exactly the kind of thing you can't even get right.
Also, I applied for position A, but when I arrived, I was told that A was no longer hiring and that they hoped I would go for position B (so was the job posting just opened for show?).
Yet the posting for position A was still listed on the job bank with its update date visible.
Basically, you use position A to lure people into interviews and then see whether you can get someone willing to take position B.
