Arbitrarily deducts bonuses, leaving you with only the base salary
The HR lady was very friendly.
The interview process was quite long, but the staff did a fairly thorough job explaining the position.
The inside was very quiet, and the location was fairly convenient in terms of transportation.
However, the salary didn't seem particularly high.
That's about it.

Not sure where the career development opportunities are
1. HR responds quickly.
2. The potential workplace location seems pretty good.
1. They send you an assignment first and give you a three-hour time limit to translate something that is actually a bit too much to finish within three hours.
2. Regarding communication, I don't know whether it was HR or someone else, but they asked me to use Track Changes to complete a task. They sent me a Word document and asked me to return it three hours later. However, Word isn't installed on my Mac, so I called them to ask whether I could use Google Docs to edit it, since my computer simply doesn't have Word. The other person couldn't really answer and said, “Wait a moment, I'll ask my supervisor.” After asking, their reply was actually: “Track Changes means you first....” (They then explained to me how to use Track Changes.) At that moment, I felt like we were talking past each other. All I had asked was whether I could use another tool to complete the assignment, but the way she relayed the message made it sound as if the people inside the company would think I didn't even know how to use Track Changes. This person who appeared to be HR really was a great help, huh :)
3. After you work yourself half to death finishing the assignment they requested and email it back, they can reject you within just a few minutes :) Then they will recommend that you consider taking on their projects as an outsourced contractor instead. How thoughtful of them—they've even planned out your next step for you.

The working conditions and environment aren’t bad; overall, things are fairly systematized.
The pay is pretty average, and personnel changes happen fairly often.
The working conditions are slightly better than those at other translation companies, but I don't know why employee turnover is still extremely high—several people have been replaced within half a year to a year.
