The way employees are treated is extremely harsh and mean-spirited, and the disciplinary system is both severe and excessively biased. They impose fines at the slightest opportunity, so no normal person could stay for long. The company's management uses all kinds of bizarre methods to bully people—for example, using surveillance cameras to monitor and supervise whether you use your phone at work; you're not even allowed to take it out. Any normal person would find that very strange, right? Isn't using a phone a normal thing? As long as you don't use it excessively during working hours, such as constantly playing games or watching videos, it should be reasonable. But this company is different: they absolutely will fine you, claiming that this is simply the company's policy. Most of the disciplinary rules and fine amounts are also highly unreasonable, with many designed to extract as much in fines from you as possible. This inhumane and unreasonable obstruction is essentially as follows: when you first join, they do not show you any written internal company rules. They only ask you to sign a contract agreeing to comply with all of the company's regulations. Later, when you do things that any normal person would do, without even knowing what you have done wrong, the company's management will bring out some written internal rule and fine you. The key point is that you have never seen it. At the beginning of employment, you agreed to follow any company rules, but you have no idea what those rules are. The company's internal disciplinary rules are also interpreted far too broadly, so before you know it, you are told that you have made a mistake and should be fined. The rules and amounts for fines are completely unreasonable—they simply keep fining you. Your salary is already pitifully low, yet they fine you under all kinds of unreasonable rules, and most of the fines are not small. If you really want to join this company, you absolutely need to think twice.

They pay salaries.

1. A penalty system is in place, with cash paid to supervisors.

2. You cannot disclose the details or amounts of the penalties, but the company has printed out tables listing the violations and penalty amounts. There is a great deal of content. Think carefully before joining, and if necessary, proactively ask what you need to pay particular attention to after joining. When you start working, be sure to understand the company’s penalty items, because the penalty amounts are not something everyone can accept.

2. The management-level supervisors have old-fashioned mindsets. When employees encounter problems at work, they handle matters with a self-important attitude when intervening, and sometimes even target the person rather than the issue.

3. I never imagined that someone would treat a management title as a self-designation. Almost every store refers to that person this way, and they are also the person most disliked by everyone. They speak in a sarcastic tone and are self-righteous. You often hear coworkers complain while working; you’ll know what it’s like to get along with them.

4. The quality of the employees varies widely.

Take this old monk’s advice: “If you don’t want people to know about it, don’t do it.”

At work, you will inevitably encounter this type of two-faced person, but that shrimp who blatantly lies can just leave.

That employee probably won’t stay long either and will definitely be eliminated.

There is absolutely no need to waste time in this kind of environment.

1. All my colleagues were very young, under 30—I was the same age as them, so I made many good friends. We’re still very close now!

2. There were more male colleagues, so the female employees generally didn’t need to move things or do similar tasks.

3. There was air conditioning and music, and colleagues could chat when things were slow.

1. The pay was very low. When I started in 2012, the base salary was NT$19,000, which only reached about NT$23,000 with overtime pay. The sales commission was NT$0.005. Every month, we were tempted to buy the new products. You could choose not to buy them, but it was really hard to resist… I’ve forgotten the employee discount, but there was a monthly limit.

2. We often had to attend training! About once per quarter, we had classes to learn about the features of new products and how to introduce them. The classes lasted one or two hours before the store opened, and of course there was no overtime pay.

3. We had to conduct a full inventory count every month. If there was an inventory discrepancy, the excess amount deducted for items that had been stolen or gone missing was split among the colleagues, who had to pay it in cash.

There are no advantages; you constantly have to buy shoes because you have to wear the latest styles. Shoes are very expensive now.

No overtime pay. Smoking is not allowed during working hours, even during breaks and meal times. You get eight days off per month, with no other holidays. There is also no overtime pay during the Lunar New Year. A monthly salary of NT$26,000 would already be considered good. You are fined for making mistakes, and if a customer steals something, you have to pay for it yourself.

A terrible company; it does not pay overtime and does not provide double pay.
