Pros

Subsidiary

Flexible working hours

Cons

Subsidiary

A back-office employee in a certain department has an old-timer mindset and a poor attitude, and does not teach newcomers.

The manager is poor at managing people. When performance targets are not met, they blame the sales staff and tell them to figure it out themselves. Assistants are expected to handle sales work as well; job responsibilities are blurred, otherwise they will be harshly criticized. The criticism is so severe that it drives you to resign voluntarily.

High turnover; you have to work on tenterhooks every day.

Pros

I didn’t get interviewed at all, so how could there be any pros?

Cons

They scheduled an interview with me, and I arrived on time as scheduled, only to discover that the HR person who had arranged the interview was not in the office.

I waited for nearly 40 minutes. Three or four other employees came over to ask me, “Who are you here to interview with?” and told me to wait a little longer. Later, someone came out holding a phone, asked for my name, and took a photo of the interview notification in my email on my phone. I happened to see a message from the HR woman on their phone saying, “Who? I completely don’t remember scheduling anyone today.”

Finally, the person who came out on behalf of HR to ask me for information said that the HR person was stuck in a meeting and asked whether I wanted to wait another 30 minutes until she returned from the meeting.

However, I had something else to attend to afterward, so I couldn’t wait any longer. Even so, I expressed my willingness to interview again as a gesture of goodwill, asking them to have their colleague tell HR to contact me proactively to arrange a time for the next interview.

Generally speaking, if a meeting really causes a delay that affects an interviewee’s time, they should feel very sorry and contact me immediately after the meeting to arrange another time. But she did not, and there was no email either. I waited until the end of the workday without hearing from her…

I specifically took time off work to attend the interview. I truly feel that their attitude was extremely awful and disgraceful!

Pros

Stable large company

Cons

The accounting department has a heavy workload. In particular, the cashiering department must work overtime until 10–11 p.m. at the end of the month; on regular days, overtime is usually until around 7–8 p.m.

The new supervisor has a rather forceful management style. Colleagues tend to focus only on their own responsibilities, each busy with their own work, and are less likely to help one another.

New employees are assigned miscellaneous tasks that experienced staff do not want to do.

Apart from a few long-serving employees, staff turnover is high.

Pros

Subsidiary

1. Free coffee (fresh milk can be added)

2. Flexible working hours

Cons

Subsidiary – a certain VR department

1. An arrogant assistant (who is about to transfer to a sales role) thinks they are excellent at being an assistant and will also be highly competent in sales. During the handover, they repeatedly spoke badly about departing employees and current employees in other departments.

2. Very good at managing upward and currying favor with supervisors.

3. When the supervisor is at the company, the assistant speaks to you very politely; when the supervisor is away, the assistant’s tone becomes sarcastic and cutting, with a sour expression.

4. The assistant takes advantage of the supervisor’s absence to sneak off early for lunch and does not return to the office until 2 p.m.; when the supervisor is present, they are so busy that they have no time to go out and buy lunch.

5. The assistant pretends to act on the supervisor’s orders.

The key point is that the supervisor tacitly allows the assistant to bully new employees!!!

Pros

As it is a Swiss company, there are many opportunities to use English.

Cons

The organization is large, making cross-departmental communication difficult; the pharmaceutical-related departments are relatively more specialized.

Pros

I applied for an FLM position. The company is large, and the benefits seem good. The interviewing manager had a good attitude. At the beginning, they asked me to introduce myself, why I left my previous company, and why I applied for this position. They also asked about the direction I would like to develop in the future.

They mentioned that someone in the same department has been there for more than ten years, so it does not seem to have a high turnover rate. The office is quite large.

Cons

The HR representative did not say much and looked a bit stern. After I finished speaking with the manager, they directly rushed me out without saying any polite parting words, which left me somewhat taken aback. I did not receive any further notification afterward either. I feel that the HR team at this company is unprofessional.

Pros

1. Large companies are more stable.

2. The company has an employee welfare committee that organizes activities from time to time. There are also near-expiry products (retail items or small goods) available for purchase at discounted prices.

3. There is a coffee machine with free coffee.

Cons

1. During the interview, the job responsibilities were described very briefly, making them seem straightforward, but there were many issues in actual practice.

2. Most colleagues are relatively pragmatic and cold.

3. There is no overtime pay, and no one checks on you even if you work until very late.

4. Managers are usually very busy and rarely have time to follow up on new employees’ handover progress. If the handover does not go well, senior colleagues will only tell you to figure it out yourself.

5. Processes at large companies are relatively cumbersome.

6. The turnover rate is extremely high, and personnel change very quickly.
