Suitable for coasting toward retirement. If you don't care about poor performance reviews, you can keep your head down and coast until retirement as long as you don't cause any problems.

The performance review system is opaque and heavily dependent on personal favoritism. The company has many long-term employees, so naturally there are also many people who coast. If your supervisor doesn't like you, your performance reviews will be at the bottom every year, no matter how capable you are. Salary adjustments and bonuses are all tied to performance reviews, yet after giving you a poor review, they still ask whether you're satisfied with your salary adjustment and bonus.

Think carefully before joining

1. My direct supervisor has a strong theoretical foundation and is very willing to share their knowledge. They seem like a supervisor I could learn a lot from.

During the interview, you are required to provide detailed information about your previous job’s base salary, meal allowance, year-end bonus, transportation allowance, the month and amount or percentage of your last salary adjustment, the month and amount or percentage of this year’s salary adjustment, whether there were promotion opportunities, and the positions you might have been promoted to. HR will ask about and verify this information again during the interview.

2. At the beginning, you must take English and logic tests. The English test includes listening, but the testing environment was very poor. I could clearly hear the interview conversation in the room next door throughout the test; the conversation next door was clearer than the listening test itself, and my complaint had no effect. They would not tell you the scores for the English and logic tests at all. Even after I asked three times, I was still refused.

3. Applicants are required to provide detailed salary information, but their own test scores cannot be disclosed to them. The information exchange is extremely unequal.

4. The company made a profit, but the bonus paid last year was very small.

Stable working hours and a very stable company. If you work overtime, you can apply for overtime pay or compensatory leave, but I haven’t worked overtime in the five years I’ve been here.

During the interview, they repeatedly questioned my past performance and reasons for leaving previous jobs.

Although I was ultimately hired,

the overall experience felt very unpleasant.

The HR interview seemed to be trying to appear very professional,

but they need to develop a greater sense of respect.

Candidates should not be questioned in this manner.
