1. Office management is like an elementary school: employees have to submit reading reflections and take turns cleaning, and even the contents of their drawers are subject to control. The Operations and Administration Department manager acts like a discipline monitor, speaking in a condescending manner.
2. Management is all conducted through LINE, with notifications chiming away even in the middle of the night, and group chats being created everywhere.
3. Senior management consists entirely of trusted insiders. “American-style management” is merely a slogan; in reality, it operates like a traditional company, with frequent internal infighting. Those who enjoy a life of conflict may consider applying.
4. When the company organizes activities, employees are expected to be grateful and work from early morning until late at night. The activities are free of charge (beach cleanups, mountain cleanups), but overtime is not counted or paid. When employees cannot participate, they are told to figure it out themselves.
5. There is a lack of systems: those who comply prosper, while those who resist perish. Raises depend on the supervisor’s preferences, and the merit-award system is absurd.
6. The company’s integrity is questionable; its words and actions do not match.
7. The only typhoon days off are unpaid!!! The few annual leave days available are used for this.
8. Departmental responsibilities are disorganized. Employees urge others to work diligently, but when it is their own turn, they make excuses and stall, leaving matters going around in circles without progress.
9. The company wants to plan projects worth tens of millions, but provides only a budget of tens of thousands.
The head office is in Xinyi District, and the branch office is in Banqiao District. Transportation is fairly convenient.
The year-end bonus is pitifully small.
The turnover rate is very high.
If you’re not someone the manager likes, you can easily be singled out.
You need to be highly accommodating and very proactive about doing work outside your job responsibilities.
The colleagues in the branch office department are easy to get along with.
The relationship between the headquarters and the branch office is poor.
Office politics make it difficult to get things done.
The company manages employees like elementary school students; snacks cannot be kept on desks.
The communication software used at work is LINE, so work records are easily lost.
Managers keep changing their minds but do not update employees promptly, resulting in a lot of wasted work. Internal communication is inefficient.
The company is a family business. It feels like it really wants to create the atmosphere of a foreign company, but it still has a long way to go.
