Pros

The interview invitation came quickly—so quickly that you were given only a brief window to reply whether you could attend the interview. Did they completely fail to consider whether the applicant was currently employed or could attend as scheduled? Did they simply want to meet their recruitment targets?

Cons

Waiting 10 minutes for the interview would have been understandable, but they actually resorted to a cheap trick: they assigned someone called a secretary, but actually an assistant, to interview you. Apparently, as long as the applicant can come to the interview, having an assistant handle it is good enough. Then they told me the manager had suddenly gone out. If they were going to handle it so carelessly, why conduct an interview at all???

The assistant asked perfunctory, formulaic questions that were unrelated to the point, and the interview was hastily concluded after about 20 minutes. All of this made me feel that, simply because you are an applicant, they can take you for granted. I currently have no way of knowing how many other terrible interview practices the company has.

The manager conducting the second interview was 15 minutes late. During the interview, they repeatedly took out their phone, looked at it for a few seconds, and put it back in their pocket. The interview lasted about 45 minutes, and they performed this take-out/put-away motion at least 7–8 times. They clearly showed no respect for the applicant. If you were actually hired, could you really expect people like this at the company to treat you well?

At present, the affiliated company Shengji Construction is being used as the recruiting company, but the actual position is with Shenglong. Are they deliberately concealing the bad reputation of a certain company?

Pros

You can drive a company vehicle.

Cons

This is basically a sweatshop company. To put it nicely, they call it a results-based work system; less charitably, it means you have to work whenever you’re awake. The boss and the boss’s wife both make sarcastic remarks in the group chat, and the boss also swears from time to time. You have to pay the phone bills yourself when contacting clients and subcontractors. There are surveillance cameras and GPS tracking systems in the office and company vehicles. You have to work overtime on weekday evenings and holidays. The boss will think you’re dedicated, but there is no overtime pay and you cannot take compensatory leave.

The company has an extremely high turnover rate. The boss interviews people almost every day, and someone also leaves almost every day.

There are an excessive number of company rules, and you can be fined at the drop of a hat. Regardless of your income, you have to pay around NT$1,000 for the employee welfare committee fee, and there are various other charges deducted from employees’ pay.

You also can’t really go home in the evenings because you have to stay and work overtime. In short, this is a sweatshop company. Anywhere else would be better—whatever you do, do not come to this company.

Pros

The employee turnover rate is high, and the company lacks construction workers. The owner and the owner's wife need to improve the way they speak to employees. It is best to avoid applying for a job there.
