Pros

Located in a prime area of the Nangang Software Park, but transportation is inconvenient

Cons

A really lousy company. HR is unprofessional, and it's not even really a game company anymore. If you've been to other game companies, you'd know this place is basically like a scam company, haha

Pros

The company environment is okay.

Cons

When arranging the interview, they said that HR and the hiring manager would interview me together, but in the end, only HR was there asking a bunch of questions about information already included on my résumé, and then it was over. All I can say is, if a company has a lot of negative reviews on 104 Job Bank, really don’t waste your money on transportation or your time. There’s a reason HR gets looked down on.

Pros

None

Cons

1. Some managers will directly ignore the person in charge and report progress and plans they themselves consider feasible directly to senior management, then tell the person in charge to figure out how to implement the plans. When the situation becomes serious and can no longer be concealed, the manager will continue to bluff and shift all the problems onto the person in charge, finding a way to get themselves off the hook.

2. Some managers will favor people who have little ability, simply because they are obedient, easy to control, or attractive. No matter how serious a mistake they make, the manager will protect them.

3. Some managers simply disregard professional expertise and treat other people’s professionalism as garbage.

Think carefully before joining. Unless you have a way to make these managers like you, you should be prepared to be treated as disposable—used and then discarded.

Pros

No advantages

Cons

The pay is even lower than working part-time at a convenience store. They push outsourcing costs as low as possible. The head of the game development department leads by example, coming to work at noon, and has managed to offend almost every department head. They only like people who are obedient. Someone who has worked there for seven years earns less than people who flatter him, and they do not pay severance on time either. Instead, they find ways to ostracize people and push them into wanting to leave on their own. The planning team is down to one person, and you never know when they might walk out. People who like the environment depicted in *Empresses in the Palace* can go in and experience it for themselves. If you want to make games, please do not join and harm both yourself and others. The only thing that could count as an advantage is that they do not force employees to work overtime.

Pros

There aren’t many advantages, apart from the low pay and looking down on people who want to enter the game industry and devote themselves to it after attending cram schools. Other than that, there isn’t much to criticize.

Cons

They said a lot and asked a lot, but still didn’t hire me.

It’s not surprising. The game industry is looking for talented people who play games and let their imaginations run wild; they’re more passionate than people who simply want a stable job working in the game industry.
