Pros

As a fresh graduate, I was eager to pursue a career in industry marketing, but this field hardly hires graduates (people without experience). That was until I met the owner of Qingyu. He saw my potential and taught me many workplace insights and essential skills for marketers. He gave me a lot of support and helped me grow at triple speed, transforming me from a complete beginner into someone capable of working independently.

Some people may find the pressure overwhelming, the workload exhausting, and the amount of material to learn extensive. However, for a recent graduate, this is truly a company where you can grow rapidly!

So, if you want to strive together with us, don’t hesitate—come join us 🙋🏻

Cons

1. The boss moves quickly, so if you can’t keep up, you’ll need to step up your pace.

Pros

None, and it also rained heavily that day

Cons

The pie-in-the-sky, MLM-like atmosphere is unbearable even just during the interview

150 million searches—honestly, you could build it with that kind of money

And that was the result of people repeatedly fact-checking whether the jadeite lemon was too sweet, which can also be used to mock them

A company that makes empty promises—do not go

Pros

1. The chairman is willing to teach you and really likes sharing his experience. He selflessly gives whether the outcome is success or failure.

2. When he sees something abroad, he shares it with employees when he returns to the company. Whatever he eats, he shares with you as well.

3. Since this is a food and beverage business, they are very particular about food. The vice chairman often buys delicious snacks for employees, and treating employees to drinks is perfectly normal. There is often fresh fruit for afternoon tea, with different fruit available each season, and sometimes fruit is given to employees as gifts.

4. Business trips are very common. The chairman will take you out to broaden your horizons and introduce you to people from different industries so you can learn from them.

5. They are willing to spend time letting you try things and provide guidance along the way.

6. When assigning tasks, they provide reference images so you know the general direction.

7. The boss is very diligent. He has bought enough books to open a bookstore, and you can borrow them.

————————————————————————————————

For the advantages above, please remember to remain grateful, because he is petty and holds grudges. After you leave the company, he will settle scores with you.

Cons

Please note the following disadvantages:

1. It is a one-person dictatorship; people with too many ideas are unsuitable. Just be obedient. There are no clear goals 😏

2. Excessive overtime is perfectly normal because the position is classified as one with responsibility-based working hours.

3. If you are a serious masochist, this place is a good fit. Employees = punching bags.

4. Those who genuinely think about employees or colleagues—international talent included—are either stuck in the cold palace or have already left.

5. Describing it as an imperial palace is extremely accurate. After joining, watch more Chinese historical dramas; once you finish, you will understand how to deal with the empress and emperor.

6. Respect?! What a joke… Only you are expected to respect them; they will not respect you, including their children.

7. Being a delivery boy (or girl) after work is perfectly normal. The company comes before you, and you must put aside anything you have going on (anything at all).

8. There are surveillance systems all around, monitoring your every word and action.

9. The emperor and empress give conflicting instructions, and both want to hold supreme power.

10. It is perfectly normal for the boss to forget what he said. If you forget, it is your fault.

11. The turnover rate is high because you cannot take the pressure and your stress tolerance is too low 🤔

12. Gender and religious discrimination are extremely serious. Women are discriminated against, with the belief that women should do certain things, and people also make jokes about their bodies. Homosexuals are discriminated against and considered mentally ill, and are treated as something to guard against like AIDS. Regarding religious discrimination, they believe that anything other than Buddhism and Taoism is a joke.

13. When an employee is speaking, the emperor is not listening at all and keeps interrupting, then blames you for not explaining yourself~(black question mark??)

14. If you have a special constitution and cannot worship at yin temples, they think you are joking and force you to participate—unless you have many good colleagues willing to help you (fortunately, I encountered some).

15. You cannot perm or dye your hair, wear nail polish, ripped trousers, sagging pants... etc. Please retain clothing styles from the 1960s–70s, and you will definitely pass.

16. They call themselves an international company, but you cannot even see a hair of it. They are always living in the era when they were at their peak, using that experience to tell you that you are too poor (black question mark).

17. When talking to the emperor and empress, you do not need logic, nor do you need to be louder; just submit your resignation.

————————————————————————————————

There are advantages as well as disadvantages; it depends on what you want. After all, there were so many ministers and palace maids in ancient imperial palaces, and some people still managed to survive by the emperor and empress’s side for a long time… 😏😏

Pros

*Having experienced this place, it’s hard to find anywhere worse; that’s the silver lining in an unfortunate situation.

*Employees get along like family, which is really heartwarming! But perhaps that only applies to those who are already about to leave!

*A great place to waste your life and time.

*The company has many refrigerators stocked with food and drinks for employees, but everything is expired.

Cons

There is no respect here. Even Taiwan, often called Ghost Island, has more claim to the word “respect” than this company does.

The boss has very poor emotional intelligence (I can’t think of a better way to describe it). He often contradicts himself through his actions or words, loses his temper, and berates employees. Who knows who actually came up with all those bizarre decisions?

The boss and second-in-command often fail to communicate with each other properly, causing employees to waste time doing the same thing.

The boss clearly discriminates based on gender and religion, saying that women who do not participate in religious worship will eventually end up divorced.

Most small and medium-sized businesses in Taiwan hold religious ceremonies, but this was my first time encountering one that took all employees to worship at a “haunted temple.” Employees working overtime at the company at night often encounter strange things...

You can work overtime but cannot claim overtime pay, because it is considered your own responsibility for not finishing your work.

But why can’t the work be finished? Because the boss often gathers everyone to listen to his personal matters. Family affairs and travel stories all have to be shared, and by the time he finishes, the flowers have already wilted.

Their daughters also order you around from time to time. They are terrifying, so don’t provoke them. They hold grudges and bully their younger siblings (the kind of bullying that involves pulling on their collars).

They paint a huge picture of the future for employees, but we haven’t even seen a crumb of that pie.

They always say they are a large enterprise, but they lack the dignity and systems of one.

They always say it is not a family business, but the whole place is filled with members of their family.

Every word and action is monitored and surveilled. Say one thing wrong and you will be called in for an interview.

People who genuinely want what is best for the company are usually exiled, while the boss who is great at talking but does no work is especially well-liked.

There are also strange colleagues who like to stare at you and watch you work.

Otherwise, they sneak a glance at your screen, or try to shift blame to others first, while only picking the easy tasks.

Resigning is treated as betrayal, after which they begin verbally humiliating you and even bring up your private family matters.

As soon as they hear you say that you have a recording, they immediately change their tone.

They are still living in the golden-ratio era from the very beginning and cannot move forward.

Pros

Overall, the employees have good relationships with one another.

Cons

There are internal problems within the company. Documents submitted for approval are often withheld by the highest-ranking supervisor, who then shifts the responsibility onto the employees.

This company has been operating for 10 years, but its longest-serving employee has only been there for five years. The employee is not allowed to take leave, including annual leave. Even when someone contracts norovirus and requests sick leave, they will keep calling other people back to work and repeatedly call you until you answer the phone.

The company has a very high turnover rate. In the three months since I joined, six employees have left. The employees who remain have to take on the work of those who resigned. Even after the company recruits a new batch of employees, many of them still leave. It is a bottomless pit.

If you are not good at flattering people and are an upright person, then you are not suited to work at this company, because you are incompatible with the people above you.

Many things are simply beyond words. When you work overtime, even your overtime forms may be returned, and you may not be allowed to apply for overtime pay, which violates the Labor Standards Act.

(They stubbornly insist that employees are under a responsibility-based system.)

If you are still interested in this company, do not regret coming here and wasting your time.

Also, remember not to be tempted by the signing bonus. This place is just a hole.

Even if they offer you 25,000, your insured salary amount will only be 22,000. The remaining 3,000 is provided through other bonuses, retention bonuses, signing bonuses, and so on, which does not protect your interests.
