Pros

The recruitment process was very enthusiastic. When I first received the call, I looked up the reviews and found them to be horrendous. My recruiter was Christina Kuo, who answered my questions very patiently and did not constantly pressure me like some headhunters do. At the time, she provided me with several project positions. Since she could not answer some of the more technical questions and needed to ask the client, she was still very proactive in helping me make inquiries. She also actively helped negotiate a better offer for the candidate. The back-and-forth must have been quite a lot of work—thank you!

As for leave and attendance, the annual leave is about the same as at general companies, but there is also personal leave available, which is quite good!

On a side note:

After joining the company, most issues are generally handled by the CSR on the company’s side. However, for some reason, the CSR in my case was not very proactive, often missed messages, or took a long time to respond. Christina was actually much more proactive when I contacted her, helping me resolve issues and answering questions more objectively at the same time. She did not give the impression of always responding with formulaic corporate language, and she was friendly. If you receive a recruitment message from her, it may be worth hearing her out.

Cons

Project placements depend heavily on the assigned unit: if you encounter a good one, it feels like heaven; if you encounter a bad one, you are on your own. In a good placement, you can work at an excellent company and gain experience. In a bad one, you are better off putting your effort into side projects. Also, as mentioned above, when there was an issue, it took a long time to find the CSR, whereas the recruiter quickly and efficiently contacted other departments within the company to resolve the problem. It gives the impression that the recruiter takes her work very seriously, while the people above her are incompetent, which has led to poor reviews.

Furthermore, try to negotiate the offer as much as possible before joining, because the company’s salary increases are not substantial. I happened to have a proactive recruiter who negotiated a relatively favorable offer for me, but not everyone will have the same experience, so be sure to compare carefully!
