The interview process consisted of a written test, an HR interview, an interview with the vice president, and then an interview with the general manager. For a small- to medium-sized enterprise, the selection process was rigorous.
The HR representative and vice president respected applicants and provided detailed explanations of the company’s operations, compensation, and benefits during the interviews.
The general manager’s attitude toward applicants was extremely poor. He even criticized and sarcastically mocked an applicant’s grades from junior high school—yes, you read that correctly! He was definitely berating the applicant over their “junior high school” grades from N years ago. Unless you attended a school at the level of Jian Guo High School, Fu Hsing Senior High School, or Taichung First Senior High School, don’t apply. Even if you graduated from a national university, the “great” general manager will instead criticize your senior high or vocational high school and berate you over your junior high school grades!
