The boss is overambitious, and there is serious internal conflict within the company.
The managers only whitewash problems and act as the boss’s henchmen.
Last year, unpaid overtime was severe, with substantial unpaid wages and leave, and the company was inspected by the labor authorities.
The boss offered no apology or compensation and continued talking about the company’s vision for the future.
This year, the day-and-night shift schedule increased the working hours for evening shifts, yet there was no pay raise—effectively a pay cut.
The treatment of delivery/collection and laundry staff is also extremely unequal.
Delivery/collection staff work hard outside, traveling in wind, sun, and rain, yet their pay is lower than that of the laundry staff.
Moreover, the company’s delivery/collection supervisors are very poor. Supervisors assign the easier routes to themselves, while both part-time and full-time employees below them can only take the more difficult routes.
The company does not value the delivery/collection department and treats its employees as disposable. Laundry staff can become store managers and key supervisors.
Delivery/collection staff can only become team leaders, and their pay is even lower than that of the laundry staff.
Laundry staff receive a pay raise after completing three months.
Delivery/collection staff, however, receive no pay raise and remain stuck at 28,000. I really do not understand why this company looks down so much on employees who work outside and travel around.
It is extremely unfair to them.
If anyone is considering applying to this company, I advise you to think twice.
