Read the community guidelinesI worked for them as a front-of-house staff member at their Top 101 Taipei location (now left). The advantages of working at Top 101 are the beautiful uniforms and scenery, and the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a high-end restaurant. Most of the team leaders, supervisors, and managers are pretty good. Basically, as long as you don't act too clueless, you won't be singled out.
The internal personnel situation at the Top 101 Taipei location is overly complicated. There is a supervisor who came to the Taipei location from Jing X Wedding Banquet Hall who is very impatient, moody, and short-tempered. Basically, anyone working in the banquet hall knows who this person is. Whenever this person is there, the people working in the banquet hall are bound to be in a terrible mood. This person keeps trying to impose their company's operating policies on Top 101 and shows no respect for Top 101's supervisors, believing that they are always right. When corrected tactfully after making a mistake, this person becomes angry and embarrassed. They once told a Top 101 supervisor: "Anyway, I'm in charge in the banquet hall, so just follow my instructions. If there are any problems, go find your assistant manager." ...Something seems strange here, doesn't it? If you give the wrong instructions and cause the company to suffer losses, then when something goes wrong, do you just push all the blame onto someone else?
