A terribly exploitative company
If you work in hypermarket channel sales,
you’re expected to visit more than seven stores a day
while also maintaining relationships with buyers at 7–8 channels.
It’s basically impossible to drive a car;
you can only ride a scooter, trading time for distance.
It’s absurdly unreasonable.
After finishing the visits, you still have to return to the office to write a daily report and attach photos,
record product expiration dates and inventory, sales volume, and survey market conditions.
Key account staff also have to do the work of merchandising personnel.
How are you supposed to leave work on time?
Because the company doesn’t have the money to hire more merchandising staff,
the merchandisers have all gone to the FamilyMart channel to work on buy-one-get-one promotions.
Also, Assistant Wu will curse you out viciously during meetings.
The most classic quote is:
“There’s no reason. Sales performance simply has to be higher than last year’s.”
This is a company that puts enormous pressure on you and relentlessly pushes you to hit sales targets.
In addition, the office is made up entirely of women.
Workplace conflicts, scheming, and all that come with it.
Listening to Ms. Kao’s tall tales, you can be completely taken in at the time, but when you think about them afterward using normal logic, they’re nothing but utter nonsense!

A ridiculous interview experience. The HR manager kept asking questions nonstop throughout the interview, and every question was extremely detailed. It felt like a background investigation, and the interview also had an aggressive, pressing atmosphere. They did not give the candidate any opportunity to ask questions, just kept firing questions nonstop. The job posting did not state the working hours or salary, and they ended the interview without letting you ask about them. In fact, there was no opportunity to ask even these most basic questions during the interview. It felt very disrespectful to the candidate. They even said that because it is a large company, they are very cautious about hiring and require you to provide contact information for someone like a guarantor so they can call and ask about your previous work situation. Completely outrageous.
