A company with very little structure. All policies are changed from day to day.

The chairman changes things however he wants. Then frontline sales staff do not know about updates to the official website, yet are expected to put the products up for sale first?

Very stingy toward employees. No benefits, and no Dragon Boat Festival or Mid-Autumn Festival bonuses.

When an employee leaves, the company does not hire a replacement, but instead forces the remaining employees to take on the work?

One person is made to do the work of three while receiving one salary.

Employees who have stayed for half a year are considered senior employees.

The employee turnover rate is high. Someone leaves every month, and even the accounting staff keep changing.

When the boss and his son are in a bad mood, they berate employees for no reason.

Pros

You will learn the lesson of patience here, but as long as you are committed and present practical cases or approaches, your supervisor gives you a great deal of room and a broad stage to work on. The challenge lies in finding the right balance in communicating with the two decision-makers. Once you find your own approach and understand your supervisor’s pace, going anywhere in the future should no longer be a problem.

The quality of the products and itineraries is absolutely unquestionable. The company’s principle of not accepting kickbacks or commissions is also evident to all employees. It is very willing to provide resources to remote rural tribes, vendors, and Indigenous peoples, making it a travel company that truly loves Taiwan.

Cons

The owner is advanced in age and tends to give guidance based too heavily on past experience. Under his instructions, projects must be completed “immediately,” with little real understanding of the difficulties and ideas encountered by the market and those responsible for execution on the ground. This can also cause people who are genuinely doing the work to become overlooked. Rewards and punishments are not clearly defined, and employees who see this often become discouraged first. It is a real shame.

If you have worked in another travel company, I recommend emptying yourself of your previous experience before considering joining; otherwise, you will suffer and waste your time.

The interview was originally scheduled for an agreed-upon time, but I later received a phone call saying that the supervisor suddenly had a meeting and it needed to be rescheduled for the following day.

I arrived about five minutes early on the day of the interview.

The receptionist discovered that there was no available meeting room and initially wanted me to sit in a place that looked like a pantry.

There was no space there either, so I was asked to sit on the sofa by the entrance and look through magazines for the time being.

I was later told that the supervisor was still interviewing the previous candidate,

so I was taken to sit in an office belonging to someone I did not know (with the air conditioning completely turned off) to fill out a form while waiting.

The height of the sofa and table was completely unsuitable ergonomically, so I eventually had to squat down to finish filling it out.

After I finished, the receptionist again gave me a magazine to read while I waited.

By then, more than 15 minutes had passed since the scheduled time, and I was finally able to enter the meeting room for the interview.

At the beginning, I was asked to introduce myself and answer why I wanted to apply for the position.

After I finished, the interviewer asked whether I had any questions.

The process made it seem as if the candidate was the interviewer. After the questions and answers were over, I was asked to go home and wait for the result.

The entire process lasted no more than 15 minutes. They also did not proactively introduce the company or the job responsibilities at all.

Highly not recommended; this interview was a huge waste of time.

Pros

Cons

1. Endless meetings (you may spend four hours a day in meetings)

2. Endless webpage revisions (even though the pages are already ugly, they still have to be changed to become uglier and less focused)

3. Endless advertising expenses (treating customers like suckers because everything is included in the tour fees)

4. Very nice to outsiders, but stingy with internal employees

5. No distinction between public and private matters—a standard family business

6. You could say there are absolutely no systems in place

7. The same story is told over and over again (about previously failing as an entrepreneur)

8. Extremely distrustful of employees; all sorts of outrageous things happen

9. No year-end bonus, and there will not be one in the future either

10. Employees may be asked to delay payments—delay them for as long as possible

11. Staying for more than three months qualifies you as a senior employee. What do you think?

Pros

Cons

1. During the interview, they gave candidates a test to complete, but had not arranged a meeting room in advance, making people carry their test papers around while repeatedly changing seats.

2. The interview results were not announced as scheduled. When I called to inquire, the HR representative also disappeared?

Summary: Very disrespectful. It felt like they were randomly inviting people to interviews and then fobbing them off.

P.S. During the interview, they ask about your religious beliefs. I wonder whether you have to share the same faith as the chairman (Christianity)?
