Pros

Everyone is very young

Cons

The company's benefits system is relatively incomplete, and there are still many areas that could be improved.

The department manager's capabilities are very poor; it was apparent during the interview that their technical skills were also very weak.

The team is a mixed bag. There is not even a senior colleague who can guide newcomers, and those who are more capable are even asked to leave.

The department manager's technical knowledge is too shallow and they often like to brush things off, while the colleagues are too fond of showing off.

The benefits seem to be quite good, but they are all visible yet unattainable.

The company hired a very beautiful lady at the front desk, but it feels like she does very little and has little intention of doing more.

Pros

The air conditioning is refreshingly cool, and the snacks are satisfying.

Cons

Mainland Chinese companies generally lack business investment acumen, their management is overly crude, and they are only good at making grand promises.

Pros

None

Cons

Although the benefits are described as very good, it is a gambling company, so its integrity is very poor. Although the salary is advertised as very high, the actual offer is not much. Basically, gambling-company benefits are usually described in an extremely exaggerated way.

Pros

HR was very honest and disclosed from the beginning that the company is in the gambling industry.

Cons

Before the interview, I had already heard that the manager was very unprofessional and strange. When I went there, I found that the manager really was odd. The manager asked very superficial and inexplicable questions, while apparently not understanding or knowing about the professional areas and skills I mentioned. The manager also spoke extremely quietly. When I tried to clarify and focus the direction of the questions with the manager, they became angry and impatient. Did they think that wearing a mask meant no one would notice their attitude? Asking more work-related questions also clearly made them unhappy. Are candidates not allowed to ask questions during an interview? The poor HR representative had to help explain the manager’s questions and smooth things over, and afterward even had to say good things about the manager. No wonder the position has remained open for so long and is never closed—a perpetually open position. Be careful.

Pros

The team looks quite young, there are unlimited cookies and snacks, and they hired a very attractive receptionist. The interview was fairly relaxed and pleasant, with a brief assessment of programming skills.

Cons

It is in the gambling industry. After the interview, they seemed very eager for you to quickly agree to start work. When I mentioned that I still had interviews with other companies to complete and wanted to see whether there were other options, I tentatively agreed that I could start in two weeks, but needed to wait a week before giving a definite response. HR gave me a pressured feeling, as if they kept trying to get me to agree to start working there first as soon as possible. However, they did not provide a written offer beforehand and kept asking me to confirm that I would start work immediately next week. This did not feel very good.

Pros

The benefits were good at first.

Cons

I recommend that no one else fall into this pit. When the company decides it no longer wants you, it will dismiss you without warning that very day. At 5 p.m., you will be called into a small room on time. Money is deducted at the drop of a hat (mainly based on performance—so it’s not necessarily the case). The company is gradually declining; if you go there, you are guaranteed to regret it.

Pros

The building is clean, and the restroom facilities are good.

Cons

Company policies are constantly changing, salaries are low, benefits are poor, and the work is somewhat like that of a scam operation.

The company’s senior management and department heads are all difficult to work with, and the Chinese-funded company treats its employees unkindly.

Pros

There are currently no advantages.

Cons

On the surface, there are no shifts, but you are essentially on call at all times and have to respond to customers on WeChat.

This effectively extends working hours, deprives you of rest time, and no overtime pay is provided.

They say it is not telemarketing, but they are still selling food products marketed as aphrodisiacs to mainland China through WeChat.

Pros

You can eat as many cookies as you like, and the flavors change frequently.

The office is very new.

The benefits are average, but everything that should be provided is provided.

Cons

The HR manager is probably the only decent person in the entire company; everyone else feels like they was parachuted in.

The performance pressure is very high, but currently the number of clients is not enough to generate much business.

The general manager and team leaders are from mainland China, and neither I nor many others like their management style.
