Read the community guidelinesBefore going to Sydney, I was quite worried, but when I arrived, I found that the environment was truly excellent. The area is filled with birdsong and fragrant flowers, and the air is very clean, making it especially suitable for people who enjoy jogging. The company is located in the city center, about a two-minute walk from Wynyard train station. Most people entering and leaving this building wear crisp business suits. Even the cleaners wear black shirts, black trousers, and black leather shoes, so wearing jeans and canvas shoes to work is basically out of the question and would definitely stand out. The boss often takes us to a Malaysian casual restaurant on nearby Hunter Street for laksa (a curry noodle dish unique to Malaysia and Singapore), and we eat it at least once a week. The number of men and women in the office is fairly balanced, and people with limited English proficiency are not ostracized.
Every day, you have to spend time doing your makeup before work. There is a Taiwanese-style bubble tea shop nearby, but the Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken is farther away.
My boss Paul is middle-aged, but his thinking is still fairly young.
He is easy to communicate with, and there is no generation gap.
After discussing projects, he often adopts my suggestions.
However, Paul's Chinese is relatively poor.
When speaking with him, you have to use simpler Chinese; otherwise, he might misunderstand you, haha.
The basic company information and job details described on 104 are quite accurate.
Job seekers are advised to read them carefully.
The interview process is relatively lengthy.
Not recommended for job seekers who quickly lose interest to submit an application.
The work environment is very elegant, and the office is on the 42nd floor. The large floor-to-ceiling windows offer a direct view of the Sydney Opera House!
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is blocked by the neighboring building.
What a pity...
A few pieces of information to share: The owner, Paul, founded this company 12 years ago and has hired around 10 young people over time through Australia’s Working Holiday Visa program. The salary is quite good by Taiwanese standards.
Not a single departing employee has successfully obtained an Australian work visa. If you go, be mentally prepared to be treated as disposable. The company’s nature is more like a technical staffing agency: you are employed by Le Veiss and assigned to client sites based on the IT maintenance projects the owner secures. The salary is at the working-holiday level. From a Taiwanese perspective, if you think it is a foreign company, you are mistaken~
