The company was moving to Xizhi in June 2018, which might be a little farther for some people.
First interview: Xizhi, HR manager and hiring manager
Second interview: Video call, manager in Shanghai
Both interviews were conducted in Chinese and English.
After submitting my résumé on 104, the HR department was very proactive in contacting me for interviews. Everything felt good through the end of the second interview, and I thought I had encountered a company different from typical Taiwanese companies—one that genuinely treated interviewees seriously.
After the second interview, they asked me to provide salary information from my previous job, saying it was needed to expedite the offer process. Whether the position was canceled, I was deemed unqualified, or they found another candidate, after taking someone’s personal information, the least they could have done was send an email to say thank you. But they could not even be bothered to do that, completely ruining the positive impression I had formed of the company during the earlier interviews.
