Read the community guidelinesStable, you won’t go hungry.
You have to know how to flatter and hype people up to survive here. Managers don’t look at your abilities; they only care whether you’ll take them out to eat and drink.
Those who do good work won’t get much extra, but those who know how to flatter will live very happily.
Having a uniform means you don't have to worry about what to wear to work.
The biggest problem is incompetent supervisors and slack-off colleagues. The supervisors can't get those who slack off to do anything, so they have to ask the people who get things done to do the work. As a result, the people who get things done are overloaded, while those who slack off have it easy.
Overtime is paid accurately.
You have to deal with all kinds of monsters: clients who will harass you in your personal life, colleagues who slack off, and managers who just spread their hands and say, “I can’t handle it.”
Pays salaries on time
Someone went to Taoyuan Metro for a business trip and accidentally locked themselves inside the vault while working there. They ended up being unreachable for seven hours, yet the supervisor simply assumed they were slacking off and deliberately disappearing, completely unconcerned about the helplessness they experienced when they were locked inside and unable to get through by phone.
None
The supervisor will scold people in front of everyone for the client to see, purely to make the client feel that the supervisor is taking action and fulfilling their management responsibilities. If you don’t want to be that unfortunate person, please think it over carefully.
The bonus is pretty good, but it’s almost gone.
The senior employees don’t care at all about how much work the newcomers have. They simply dump everything on the newcomers, who have to deal with different senior employees assigning tasks to them “simultaneously,” while also being asked to complete them by specific deadlines. If you finish, they just pile on more work; if you don’t, they question whether you’re slacking off. As for what the senior employees do, they watch movies and browse online shopping sites nearby, then take credit for the results and claim the accomplishments once you finish.
Then there’s going to the field, business trips, and night shifts—all of those are also left to the newcomers. The senior employees only give orders and question the newcomers’ work from the sidelines. Even when they go to the field with a newcomer, they just slack off and look at stocks nearby. When the time comes, they simply take the company car and leave, without caring whether you have finished your work. Even more outrageously, despite using the same company car, a senior employee will take the keys and drive away as soon as their workday ends, completely ignoring that other people may not be ready to leave and still need to work overtime or finish up. The people left behind can only call a taxi and make their own way home.
It is quite convenient to be able to eat at the employee cafeteria for all three meals.
A senior manager in one department would lose his temper at subordinates for no reason whatsoever. Moreover, when employees resigned, he would harass the companies they joined next.
It’s fairly convenient to take care of three meals a day.
Some senior employees are extremely poor at planning project work. They don’t tell you about business trips in advance, suddenly informing you that you have to go on a trip just before the end of the workday three days before departure. They also don’t tell you what needs to be prepared or what has already been prepared beforehand, so you have to ask and find out everything yourself. Once you arrive, you discover that things are different from what was planned before departure. If you call back to ask, they sarcastically question why your ability to adapt is so poor. On-site, you waste a great deal of time simply dealing with insufficient consumables and incompatible hand-tool specifications. If you haven’t accomplished much, they criticize your abilities as soon as you return to the office.
The salary is fairly average for southern Taiwan.
If you’re a newcomer, fend for yourself. There won’t be any experienced employees here to guide you. You’ll be assigned work as soon as you join, and whether you know how to do it or not will only be addressed after something goes wrong. Once something really does go wrong, they’ll complain that you didn’t know how to ask for help. On top of project work, a bunch of miscellaneous tasks will also be thrown at newcomers, so you’ll have to find time to deal with those too. In the end, you’ll watch the experienced employees sleep and watch Korean dramas while receiving higher bonuses than you. Would you feel okay about that?
The compensation in southern Taiwan is fairly decent.
The work being miscellaneous is one thing.
But when you're swamped, seeing
those idle senior colleagues
watching movies, browsing Shopee, and buying stocks
while chewing you out for being inefficient,
and then receiving bonuses several thousand more than you,
you'll be absolutely furious.
The benefits are fairly good.
After the probation period, there is a monthly performance bonus every month.
Watching your senior colleagues scroll through their phones, binge-watch shows, and browse online stores at work,
then looking at the pile of miscellaneous tasks in your own hands,
and seeing that your monthly performance bonus is lower than theirs,
you’ll be pissed off beyond words.
If you can't find a job for the time being, you can come here to earn a little money to get by.
A heartless company. If you want to be laid off at any time, you can come here. To be able to fire people at any time and save money, they hire through a staffing agency. Although the company receives subsidies from China Steel, it does not offer China Steel's benefits. The standards are poor, and even people with inadequate qualifications can become managers. If you want to experience the harshness of society, you can come here too.
