Read the community guidelinesThe employees within the company all seem fairly young, and the atmosphere is nice. The woman who greeted me when I first arrived even asked if she could pour me some water and asked me to wait a moment.
There was quite a wide variety of products at the interview location.
The job responsibilities discussed during the interview were quite detailed, and the interviewer answered my questions very kindly.
It is located within an industrial park, and since there are quite a few buildings, I had to look around for a while when I first arrived.
There are many types of products, and the merchandise is quite miscellaneous. The company’s business involves promotional gifts for credit cards, treating promotional items like premium products.
1. Overtime is not paid; only compensatory leave is provided. This already violates the Labor Standards Act.
2. Employees have to take turns serving as the duty employee: opening the office at 8:45 and cleaning the office.
This cleaning was only done because of the pandemic, but none of the employees wore masks.
3. The company’s business requires employees to travel and stay overnight.
Employees are enticed to travel with bonuses, but the actual bonus amount is not disclosed.
They only say it is more than what other employees receive...?
They only say that if you cannot cooperate, you should not take the job; otherwise, there will be a lot of trouble...
They also haggle over severance pay.
First round: the chief accountant
Second round: HR and the boss’s wife
Third round: the boss, a second interview scheduled for another time
The interviews are one-on-one. Many things that have already been discussed have to be repeated again....
The accounting uses a single set of books, which requires an accountant to audit.
On regular days, overtime runs until 6:30 p.m.
During audits, leaving work at 7–8 p.m. is also possible.
The accountant also has to handle miscellaneous administrative and general affairs tasks, and even packaging and inspecting products for defects.
The interviewer provided a detailed introduction to the position.
The office was like a warehouse.
There were no private desks.
Everyone shared one long table.
The company was so disorganized that even after I had entered the office, completed the paperwork, and was waiting for the interview, my supervisor didn’t know I had arrived. They suddenly called me on my cell phone to scold me for being late and ask whether I still wanted to attend the interview.
Afterward, when they found out I had arrived, they didn’t apologize and simply acted as if nothing had happened.
The second interview was with the boss.
The boss asked a whole list of “strange questions.”
I could only answer yes or no.
I wasn’t allowed to say other expressions such as “um” or “oh.”
For example: “Are you color-blind?”
None
At the start of the interview, a woman sat down, glanced at my résumé, and said, “We’re looking for someone with experience. What are you doing here?”
I replied, “Then why did you ask me to come? You’re the ones who notified me to come for an interview.” I was completely speechless.
By the way, this company is extremely messy. Everything is just tossed around and piled up haphazardly.
