Read the community guidelinesWhen you mention something the boss doesn't want to hear, they simply hang up without hesitation. Bye-bye.
The person who called was the boss. It felt like the boss hadn't done much work and just called to ask questions. You have to explain your work skills over the phone, and only if they think you're suitable will they arrange a further interview. However, it felt like a low-paying company, and they also seemed disrespectful, so basically there wasn't much more to discuss.

Yaoxuan Technology, with its headquarters in Kaohsiung and a branch office in East District, Tainan, mainly develops software and hardware for hospitals. All the openings are called engineering positions, but in practice, engineers are assigned customer service duties (for the software side). The main reason people leave is that SA/SD responsibilities were later added, while the salary remained at the customer service level.
The advertised positions differ quite a lot from the actual work. There is basically no software development involved QQ, and this was not mentioned during the interview.
Some employees at the company develop software, but they mainly create small programs to handle customer issues for systems purchased from unknown vendors in the first place, where the vendors are unwilling to make modifications.
There is a development team in Kaohsiung, but Tainan is basically QQ. The boss does not have a software background.
The boss is in sales, so there are often mysterious or very urgent programs that need to be written.
The colleagues are very nice, and the work atmosphere is generally quite relaxed. Since there is no need to clock in or out, working hours are very flexible. The year-end bonus is fairly generous.
1. The shareholder who also serves as a supervisor does whatever they want, constantly changes decisions, and does not listen to others’ suggestions. They claim to welcome suggestions, but in reality are stubborn and self-righteous.
2. Salary increases are extremely low. You may not get a raise even after working there for several years, and there is no overtime pay. The company uses a low salary and year-end bonus system to attract people, but it does not value talent. It seems to think that when someone leaves, it can simply hire young people at low salaries, resulting in a severe gap in employee tenure—either people are highly senior or very junior.
3. Some supervisors have poor emotional control, so subordinates often have to bear emotional pressure. They do not communicate rationally; even when they clearly do not know what they are doing or are wrong about something, they refuse to admit their mistakes. The people at the very top also tacitly allow this kind of behavior to continue.
4. There are many redundant employees, but because the company refuses to pay severance, the capable employees end up being worked to death. They also often have to help the boss and supervisors with personal matters. Employees are expected to plan many things themselves, such as company trips and systems, but if the planning is not done well, they are criticized. It is a thankless task: the company wants to save money on everything while refusing to pay professionals to do the work.
In any case, the problems are too numerous to list. The company’s systems are seriously flawed, and there is no real promotion system. It is constantly stuck in the past, and there is no visible future. However, correcting these problems would be extremely difficult. Think very carefully before joining.
